Edit: You're probably right, but I'm a stubborn moron, so it's 2 months now. In fairness every single one of my faction mates said one month too lol. I think the extra time makes participants engage more and increases the chances for intrigue and excitement. Nobody is required to participate.

The beer supply change coincided with crimes 2.0 in which nerve limits are increased and beer is now a salvageable item. The supply increase will likely be lowered over time as devs look into balancing the supply versus the market.
As far as the issue of war supplies making the investor richer, while warring parties spend vast amounts of treasure to continue their aggression? That's how the real world works, kiddo.
