I volunteer at Seymour's, a parrot rescue shelter located in Maine, US. It's something I've done since 2010 starting with the owner's mother, RIP. It greatly helped my recovery from cancer and so is important to me. A couple of weeks ago 2 former volunteers started an online petition through Change.org to get the shelter shut down, claiming neglect and abuse. Before starting the petition, however, they filed similar claims with the State of Maine's Animal Welfare Department. The Department sent an inspector who, after reviewing medical records and requesting a couple minor changes, issued Seymour's a clean bill of health, allowing the current owner to keep her certification and remain open. This wasn't what the instigators wanted so they started the petition.
To give you some idea of what sort of people these are they've used old keys to enter the shelter without the owners permission to stage pictures (using sunflower seeds that they bought specifically for that purpose), used out dated photos of birds who have been recovering, stole contact information to disseminate their lies, and claimed to be my g'daughter's guardian to obstruct use of her photo in a counter petition. Rather than trying to help Seymour's fulfill its mission, they are seeking to tear it down.
To counter this my RL wife started a counter petition calling for an end to the harassment. If you care about animals, especially those who are in need of a safe and healing place, I ask that you sign the petition linked below and let others know about it. I won't link to the other petition, but for those interested my profile pic is currently set to Marley, one of the birds they use an outdated photo of. I took this Oct 5th this year. She stopped barbering since the most recent former volunteer stopped coming to the shelter.

Got up this morning for find that I had a 15hr 50some minute cool down on all 3 Wheels of Fortune. As I'd been up only 20m just when and how did that happen? This has happened before, though it was only the $1M Wheel that I'd supposedly spun. The cool down seems to happen from when I login and not when I go to the casino.
Alright, I wish I had found a way to place a wager. Though, tbf a kind soul did send me a Xanax if I promised to not "be mean to RNGesus".
Since my post on the 55th page of this thread I've checked every bazaar. I've stopped counting how many I've visited and either been locked out or faced closed/empty. Now empty could be good bc it means my number /might/ have come up but it also means no joy in Mudville.
