It depends on who making the final hit, the enemy faction member or the outsider. 

Warring is expensive and if you're joining just to make a profit for yourself, you're doing it wrong in the first place. You war to see how far you've come, how much (tactical sight, stats, timing, etc) you've improved over time.

Dispose that mindset you've got from terming RWs, join the competition with a clear mind, a thirst to prove yourself, anything but that "in it for profit" mindset

Coleading a Crime-Only faction, complains about the peace you're enjoying. What exactly do you want ?

If you want high level war, Diamond/Platinum have Stompers and ODB who don't term.
If you want lower level, any faction below Gold will war on a weekly basis, hell, Bronze wars are mostly filled with inactives and clueless folks.

The choices are out there, to me, it seems you're just not looking for it.

If you're staying in that faction because loyalty or sense of comradery, you can always spike things up with weekly/monthly chains offering rewards to those who participated. Who knows what drama it could generate.

The item market and bazaar directory exists, you should have used those instead of trusting a random player

Paying players don’t get an overpowered advantage — the gap becomes small in the long run.

Let's be real here. 

There's no way any active F2P player can catch up with an active donator. It's just impossible.
