I’m a Gen-Xer- 43 years young. Still gaming. Love strategy. Love the long-game. Also, love Goodfellas and the Godfather I and II. (We pretend Godfather III was never made in my house.) I’ve been playing this game for just a few days to get a feel of it, and I am really digging it. There are a lot of moving parts, and that brings me to this- looking at the possibility of joining a faction.
I’m a bit of a chameleon. If a faction is family-friendly and doesn’t want cussing, I have no problem obliging. If it’s 18+ and the cussing runs amuck, I can go on a tirade like Blackbeard if it fits the culture. If your faction is an RP faction, I have experience there. If it has zero RP, I have tons of experience there as well. I’m open to crime factions, warring factions, a mixture…I’m open to it all. I’m game to learn.
If there’s a good fit, I’ll definitely be interested. If there isn’t a good fit right now, I’ll check back at another time. I understand that I’m just level 4. I’ve been playing for about 3 days, and I don’t have a lot to offer in the short term. I’m a quick study though, and I take direction well. Given the right direction, I’ll be an excellent long term asset.
1. Mentor(s)- No handouts, just wisdom. If I have some questions about mechanics or strategy moving forward, I would like to be able to stand on the wisdom of the elders. Helpful and insightful people is what I’m looking for right now. Someone who is willing to train me so I can be a top flight mobster for them in the future. 2. Maturity- Internal conflict is fine if the people in the organization use it to grow. If there is no conflict, there is usually no growth. But, I have a very low tolerance for internal drama. Internal conflict does not necessarily equal drama if the people act maturely. 3. Loyalty- I’m fiercely loyal. This is why I will be pretty picky about joining a faction. I don’t guild-jump. If I join a faction, I’m going to stick it out unless things completely fall apart. I will want the same loyalty in return. I’m going to have the faction’s back. I dang sure want them to have my back too. You know how Tony Montana was talking noise while he was chained up in the bathtub and told to talk or get chopped up by the chainsaw- that’s me.
Things I’m not looking for: 1. Handouts. I don’t even like to use cheat codes on single player games. Part of the thrill for me is building the castle brick by brick. Now, if it benefits the faction for warring or chains or whatever, I’ll do what’s best for the faction. But I will never ask for handout because I want a shortcut. 2. An RP girlfriend. I have a wife and three daughters in my house. I don’t need anymore women in my life right now. 3. As stated before- very limited drama. Just beyond that nonsense these days.
If I sound like a fit for you, get in contact. I’d love to hear from you.
Current company (lvl 9 at peak) is selling out. Will be looking for a new job. Would prefer a lvl 9 or 10 company and pay in the ballpark of current salary. I’m active multiple times a day and quickly make rehab trips when addiction pops up.
