Thoughts and Rambles
I've been more than solid for NFL in general. I have been on a roll on Torn, but also real life. If only torn had parlays and player props... A man can dream.
Might start making regular posts. At least am thinking of giving it a test run by doing a TNF 🔒 and maybe add in some other bets that are worth taking a chance on. With the goal being to see if I can actually give a bet that is a guaranteed win without it being something silly like Bills +20.5 points. Maybe something like a x1.50 or above lock idk. Anything lower isn't really great value anyways.
I'd say at a quick glance, my lock would be:
🔒BILLS (-8.5) x1.60 (As of now)
-9.5 is pointless since it's at x1.61, and I don't like going over 10 points in division games even if the Dolphins do suck right now. They still have a volatile offense with weapons against a Bills defense that isn't by any means elite. Don't be fooled by last week it was the jets with Justin Fields. The ravens thoroughly cooked them, but Josh Allen rescued them (and also rescued my parlay thanks for the $300 bud)
That being said, the dolphins won't be able to stop the Bills, and the Dolphins may very well completely stall, but can't count out garbage time and them scoring with one big play two drives in a row. Hill/Waddle are still threats. However, I believe the final score ends up being something like 31-14 or 27-17. Bills will slow the game down with an early lead and bleed the clock, so if you're feeling frisky here's some extra value bets.
Extras:
Under 51.5 x1.66
Over 45 x1.50 (do not like overs in this game, but if you're into that kinda thing maybe even try up to Over 48 x1.76)
Dolphins +7.5 x2.37
(Worth mentioning, Dolphins to win outright is x6.50, but also the last time the Bills/Dolphins played in Buffalp, the Bills only won 30-27, so +3.5 could be a potential snipe at x3.50)
Bills -13.5 x2.00
(Might give something like this a small bet, but at that rate might as well be even greedier and go -19.5/x3.00 or -23.5/x4.50)
Over 56 x2.95 [56.5 lowers to x2.87 as of now. Solid numbers always pay out better]
(highest is 63.5 but it's same odds as 63 (x5.40) if you wanna go balls to the wall, but this is if you think the Bills have an absolute shootout with the dolphins. Last game they played did total 57 points, so maybe the "script" calls for some Miami Magic where they lose and look damn good doing it to fool people into taking them the week after this against the Jets)
PARLAYS
I'm sure this has already been introduced as an idea and been shot down, but i figured I'd at least try my hand at it.
What if we added parlays to the game, limited it to only 3 legs (Only 3 separate bets), and the minimum you could bet would be 5-10M while the max would be 100M? Maybe even lower to mitigate potential abuse in early trials of something like this if it were to become a reality.
Because you could obviously just take 3 uber favorites and bet 1B and rinse and repeat.
OR
You have to make the parlay meet a certain criteria of odds to be able to place it. I know the odds on here are UK style, but say you have to make the parlay AT LEAST +100 or else you can't place it. Meaning there is at least some risk to it and you can't just use it as a money printer. I think it would be an interesting concept that a ton of players myself included would use daily, and is something that could be tweaked and measured to become balanced through the results of the players using it.
Idk, just an idea from a degenerate gambler.

Analysis:
Saints@Lions: The Lions are projected as the clear favorite and for good reason. They have a high powered offense despite showing signs of dysfunction with the loss of Ben Johnson proving to be a bigger void to fill than they anticipated while doing what seemed impossible by making the Bears a serious contender. Bears/Seahawks could've been your NFC championship and by all accounts it should've been. However, this is Year 2 without Benny and I expect guys like Isaac TeSlaa to really begin carving out a legit WR3 role especially in the RedZone (6 TDs on 16 catches/27 targets as a rookie last year). Gibbs is gonna eat a ton, but Montgomery's usage isn't going to disappear. Watch for SIone Vaki to be the early change of pace/power back while Pacheco is on IR. There will be more passing volume, but don't be surprised if LaPorta is relegated to blocking on jumbo sets.
Defensively, Terrion Arnold was a big hit to the already iffy lions secondary as well as Anzalone parting in Free Agency. BOTH starting safeties have been ruled out as well (Branch/Joseph), so I mean the Saints are honestly being given a chance in a shoot out in my opinion. Shough is a stud and a threat in the air as well as on his feet, but that's with last years team. Now, he has not only Etienne as a 2022 Kamara clone, Kendre Miller is returning and before injury looked to be the RB1 heir for the Saints. True, star rookie Jordyn Tyson will be missing the opener. Olave, Vele, and BARION BROWN + Juwan Johnson/Noah Fant/Oscar Delp will be the starting WRs alongside one of the most underrated TE rooms in the league not to mention Bryce Lance as well who's a big play threatt as well. Watch closely for Brown however. He's been absolutely on fire the entire training camp/pre-season and this may be unrelated but I have him stashed in a few fantasy leagues. Kid is a stud and very much needed boost with Tyson out. Look for him to make an impact early on returns/when in 3WR sets. The Saints defense is ultimately in my eyes what really makes this a much more even game than some might think. I'm not saying they win outright, but the odds right now haven't quite adjusted I don't think and we'll see this become less of an instant easy Lions W and more of an actual fight. However while the Saints young secondary is finally coming together and their front 7 is still very formidabble even with Demario Davis departing, Bryan Breese and Cam Jordan being out is tough especially against a top 2 RB in the league. Not to mention Styles Jr. a promising DB also not being able to play takes some depth off of a well balanced secondary consisting of Vets and young up and coming talent. Lions win this one 31-23 (if you're a fan of guessing exact outcomes lol by all means but I do not recommend it).
Bucs@Bengals: My analysis on this one is pretty straightforward. Both teams have high powered offenses and defenses that haven't been exactly sturdy the last few years especially when it comes to the Bengals. However, let's slow down on the Baker/Burrow shoot out and remember that Egbuka is dealing with a nagging toe injury, Godwin is a whistle away from being on IR at all times, McMillian is banged up as well and Ted Hurst while in my opinion the next WR1/2 for the Bucs isn't quite there yet development wise. I also feel the Bengals as well as the Bucs are going to want to ease in their offenses by running early and often. I doubt Cinci is itching to just throw Burrow out to the wolves immediately and would rather let the big plays he'll create with Chase and Higgins happen more naturally while using Chase Brown as often as possible. Kid is genuinely one big season away from being seen as the leagues next CMC/Gibbs or to a lesser degree Achane or Breece Hall type of RBs. He gets a receiving work and has shown great ability as a runner, and he's MUCH better than Jaylen Warren I promise and that's coming from a Steelers fan. It shows because his backup Perine while solid is in his 30s now and has no hold on the starting job whatsoever. So think of him as a Jaylen Warren but way way better. Just hasn't fully broken out yet, but this year as long as Burrow is healthy the skies the limit. Also, quickly before I forget, let me not understate that Cinci's DEF is IMMENSELY improved as opposed to last year. Boye Mafe, Jonathan Allen, AND Big Dex Lawrence on the line is a massive improvement opposed to last year or any previous year. Hendrickson was great but alone wasn't doing anything but collecting sack totals. To move off him as he's regressing and bringing in the right personel to fill their 4-3 scheme instead of trying to have their own off brand TJ Watt is going to be a huge difference. Not to mention Demetrius Knight Jr. and Barrett Carter returning in their 2nd year each to shore up the rest of the 4-"3" with Oren Burks. Combining solid run stopping abilities with much improved coverage (Knight has insane athleticism specifically and if he is able to settle in at the MIKE spot he could be a serious problem for any offense). With the line they have, Knight has everything he needs to showcase his athleticism in ways other than loading the box each play or else get ran all over. Lastly, DJ Turner is who you should be watching this year because he's quietly been one of the better young CBs and with his speed and build should be due for a breakout year alongside Dax Hill. Tacario Davis has been a shining spot this camp/pre-season as well and with a 6'4 195lb frame that also has speed, he could be gunning for the no.2 role sooner than later.
The Bucs lost some key defensive players in Jamel Dean and Lavonte David, but they knew the significance of it and did their absolute best to compensate. Reuben Bain coming in to increase the pass rush with Vea and Kancey is huge, but also taking former Lions ILB Alex Anzalone + drafting the son of a legendary eagles ILB, Josiah Trotter who's brother Jeremiah Trotter Jr. was taken last year, Sirvocea Dennis who had a solid rookie campaign is now behind the two (Anzalone/Trotter) and he wasn't a slouch in the slightest. Dean was the former CB1, but the Bucs have quietly built a young CB room and even without the rookie Keionte Scott in round 4 have Morrison and McCollum outside with Parrish at the nickel. It helps having not one but now two proven safeties behind it all as well with Antoine Winfield Jr. and Tykee Smith who was a standout performer last year playing 16 games and totaling 100 tackles, 2 sacks, 2 FRs, and 1 INT in his 2nd year proving to be great run support while still being an asset in the passing game while Winfield now can adjust back into being a hybrid type safety such as Tyrann Mathieu and can create the splash plays he was known for predating the injury suffered mid 2024.
So, as you can, the offenses may be high powered, but this is the start of the season. Burrow is elite of course and can look in mid season form at any moment, but he has been a notoriously slow starter. I think Zac Taylor realizes this and will gameplan for it rather than force him into a faster star even if he's frustrated. Being that Burrow's frustrations seemingly lead to risky play and therefore injuries. With the line having been improved upon a bunch on both sides, I see this being much more of a grinding slow game taken over by the run and the respective defenses. I personally think the Bengals edge out a win. 23-16 with both kickers seeing the field a good bit.
More analysis to come, but figured i'd try this out for now and see how it's received. If it's something you guys want to see more of, then i'll gladly sit here typing away. 🫡 #LETSGOSTEELERS

So the Bengals one failed, however I was correct about their defense being much improved. Possibly too improved honestly.
All else is still in play.
well you;re welcome for the easy dub nobody lol
00:39:04 - 13/09/26 You placed a $20,000,000 (x1.85) bet in the Bookie on North Dakota State Bison (-1.5) (Asian Handicap 1.5 Full event) bet on Air Force Falcons v North Dakota State Bison (American Football)
Ez money. High scoring game as well so put another bet on over 45.5 to 47.5 and just chill tbh.
Last year these teams faced off at Ohio Stadium in Columbus, and it was a defensive slugfest. 0-0 at halftime, before the Buckeyes punched it in for the first score in the third quarter. Ultimately, Ohio State took the game 14-7 in Julian Sayin’s first career start.
Sayin was held to just 126 yards passing 1 TD, for the Buckeyes. On the other side, Texas quarterback Arch Manning was also held in check, throwing for just 170 yards w/ 1 TD/1 INT
Arch Manning. The young QB with the biggest name a QB can have could easily be the biggest case for Texas to win this game. With a full year under his belt as the starter, he looked better as the season went on, eventually leading the country over the final five games of the season in QBR (87.9). Ohio State’s defense lost seven starters to the NFL. While they have plenty of talent, it’s not the same defense they saw last season.
Cam Coleman and Ryan Wingo are an explosive receiver threat on the outside for Texas. Arch has solid chemistry with the duo, and if Ohio State overcommits, it’ll open up the inside of the field for him to work. Arch’s legs could also be important in this game. If he can extend the plays like a star QB should, it’ll keep them in this game. The final key to Texas winning this game, home field advantage. Their stadium will be absolute pandemonium on Saturday night; that could be all the difference in winning this game.
Similarly to Texas’ case to win Saturday, the quarterback has the chance to be the biggest difference. The Buckeyes have a superstar in the making in Julian Sayin. Sayin is far from the quarterback he was against Texas in his first career start last year. However I do consider him the inferior QB in every way to Manning. He happens to be a direct benefactor of playing QB at a college known as "WR University". He finished 2025 with the highest overall PFF grade among FBS quarterbacks (92.9) and the highest passing grade (92.5).
Jeremiah Smith is a game-changing player and that's an understatement. One of the most talented wide receivers to ever take the field in a Buckeye jersey, which is saying something (I.e WR University). Texas has held him in check both times they’ve faced him, but it won’t be an easy task. Ohio State has incredible depth/talent. Their defense might have lost a lot of star power, but they reloaded just as fast. Ohio State has arguably the most talented roster in the nation, and they are led by a new group of defensive superstars. (Caleb Downs however is a tremendous loss and not replaceable so it'll be interesting to see how they compensate outside of the safety position in order to contain Arch Manning)
The offenses are stellar but i'm not quite sold on the QBs being able to not only produce against these still very much elite defenses, but also I'm concerned about OSU;s ability to play under pressure in Texas because home field advantage is an even bigger advantage than usual whenever it comes to college football. This being the highest level of college football means that this is already the biggest game of the year and depending on how each team finishes out the year, we could see this game again in the CFB playoffs or even the national championship.
GAME: Ohio State Moneyline (+104)
It’s going to be a tough environment, and this game won’t be handed to them. But Julian Sayin makes all the difference for me in this one. Ohio State’s talent, coaching, and winning tradition win out. The Buckeyes win this one and cement their status as the #1 team in the nation. As much as I am on edge about Julian Sayin especially after last years choke against Indiana, I believe he's gonna be as ready as he can possibly be for this game and Arch while talented doesn't quite have the intangibles and weapons quite frankly that Sayin possesses on offense. OSU also has the superior coordination on offense and is about equal defensively.
