I'm not sure if this has been suggested before, but it would be helpful to have some option to auto merge after buying, if you so wish!
I thought that was what would happen if I scrolled to the side of my already owned stock and selected the merge selector before I bought my new stocks from the same company! But if I still have to select the newly purchased one, then it doesn't help me to scroll first before purchasing more, it's actually an extra step!
I use the Torn app and Torn PDA primarily, so I don't know if it's easier on a computer! But on mobile at least, it would be nice to have a selector I can turn on or off to auto merge any new stocks when already owning some!
I don't play the stock market to make money, I generally use it as a vault! I'm sure some players would not want that option tho, so maybe a selector at the top of the stocks page, an option in the settings menu, or just make that far right selector in stocks you already own actually auto merge instead of just selecting that one by itself!
Vault vs bank is a technicality! It's the same thing at the basics of storing money away from people! I'm sorry I mis-worded what I meant in that one aspect but the point I was trying to make was there! And that's not it!
I never said I didn't trust my faction! Quite the opposite actually! I said they're not real world friends so there is a difference and theres nothing to stop the people who decide to misuse that trust! I mean, there was literally forum posts and news articles about this exact thing very recently, from people who never thought that player would do it! You never know, regardless of the amount! Also not the point of the post!
Either way this has devolved from the original point! You seem to want to take this to a personal level where as I am only trying to suggest a possible feature that would assist in making things more user friendly! Yes for me, but possibly for many more people then we realize! Time is money after all and even real life takes up a lot of it!

The long term point of stocks is to earn enough to buy the stock block! So no, I can't just pick the first one, there are long term goals I'm also working towards!
Ghost trading only works if you have someone you can trust explicitly! And this is a crime game! I do not have real world friends playing who I can count on, and anyone else is only trustworthy until they decide not to be! Not a long term solution!
Buy the stock less often but more at a time.... so.... hold onto the cash and hope I don't get mugged before its time to buy??? Makes sense..... very viable....
Save the extra clicking to do all of the extra clicking until the end so you have even more clicking all at once..... also totally makes sense.... not missing the point for wanting less clicking....
You realize this is a suggestion thread right??? It's not to accommodate me personally....it's a suggestion of a possible feature! One that maybe someone else doesn't want to write in about like this because of people, very much like you, who will jump to telling them they're wrong and want to be "accommodated"!
The stock market is one of the first places a lot of new people can store their money! Houses that have vaults are expensive, most people rent and don't have access to one, use their piggy bank before they know its the only one you're ever going to get, or don't want to wait for a faction/company leader to be online to get money from that vault!
I don't think it's unreasonable to suggest an option, that isn't necessary to use if you don't want to! Who knows, maybe it's only 5 minutes of work for them, i dont know! Hence the suggestion of a feature I think would be helpful!
So dont merge them and have so many that I loose track of them all? The point is to make this easier, not have to scroll through several under each individual stock until I find that one that pays out relatively close to what I want!
The problem this is fixing is having to select several very little check boxes and a little merge button, and then an are you sure, ok, message! Too many clicks!
Several times a day I lump money all together into whatever stock looks best at the time, merge it all together, and when I need money take whats needed out of whichever one doesn't loose me money (if possible at that time since i mainly only use 3 or 4 for most things at this point while building net worth)
Its not for everyone, I understand that, but it would be nice to have that option if you're not using stocks for purely profit!
Or like a prison riot, where you have certain odds to have a successful escape attempt for so many people involved but everyone else gets their time extended by several hours or days! Everyone has to contribute nerve for it to start!

Is it 1 item per person per day from Duke? Or can you search and find more then one item in a day? I really don't want to give my scavenger title any extra leash if I don't have to!
