They froze, pondered then paniced: how do you practice procrastination?

Thank you, very helpful
It was going really well, until the last clue and I've no idea! Read and re-read some older news articles but no joy. I guess it's a cryptic clue and I'm just missing it! It was fun regardless, and I am not giving up!
Good luck to everyone

Merry Christmas, have an awesome day in the best way for you
Reading the above, mostly there is agreement but with some nuances and caveats. I'm new so don't have much experience of how wars tend to play out.
The main points seem to be:
-keep it fair
-Keep it fun
A serious mismatch may benefit from a forfeit option though for this to meet the above two points it would need:
-Minimum war duration
-Minimum %points of target
-Maybe minimum ratio of points between factions
-Minimum time between wars
-Reduced rewards for both sides
-Possible harsher penalties go the forfeiting side
-The winning side accept the forfeit
From my personal experience of a mismatch, I'm not sure it would be possible to have an effective forfeit option and keep it fair mainly because there are other ways to "surrender". The simplest being:
-Stay in Torn
-Stop fighting back
-Strip and arm yourself with a pillow
We were so outmatched in out last war, most of our faction members couldn't touch our opponents with flying away not an option as they were too low a level. In contrast their lowest stat player dwarfed even our 20th stat player. It was still fun trying to get out of hospital and get an outside hit in for the chain before returning to the bed with your name on it. It was a short war, we capitulated after 6h and let them hit us as we had no one left who could hurt them and they out scored us more than ten to one!

Friday Frustrating Fun
Thank you everyone who invested their time and resources into make Black Friday such frustrating fun. Not good for my OCD with all those alarms but managed to resist setting 49 of them! Special shout out to Judge whose bazaar must have taken ages to set up, I think I have RSI from scrolling for over an hour. The RND gods may not have given me the good stuff but loved it none the less.
Already looking forward to next year.

Mental health is rarely one thing and getting a proper diagnosis can take a long time. I've been diagnosed with depression, agrophobia, OCD, perfectionism, low self esteem erc in the past. It took over 20 years before I got a proper diagnosis which is BPD or emotionally unstable personality disorder with aspects of OCD mostly. My depression was a symptom of the BPD. I'd been forcing myself to go out and mix with people as I'd been told was the best way to help mitigate depressive thoughts etc. Unfortunately that usually lead to having a mental crash leaving me house bound for days or weeks. Turns out for BPD giving yourself quiet time alone is essential so I'd been doing the opposite of what I needed. That lead to guilt for not getting any better, in fact getting worse and self perpetuated the downward spiral.
My rambling point being: it's not your fault, seek help and when able let those close to you know what is happening then when, as will happen, you are in a position where you cannot help yourself they can move in and help you through the deepest darkest times. There are people out there who care for and love you, try not to be afraid to seek help easier said than done sometimes. You my have a short term condition or it may be long term and something you need to manage and accept as part of you.
Remember that a lot of mental health conditions have a positive flip side. Counterintuitive but mostly true. Depression can come from being a deeply caring person for example. BPD makes me more empathetic, inciteful, and intuitive whilst OCD can help get things done, though usual hinders without help!
For many everyday is a mental health day, today is a day to think about that, remember that and try to understand and accept that in yourself and others.
