After seeing a forum thread asking about games similar to Torn I came across a few of the same comments talking about CE (Cartel Empire) so I decided to give it a go and boy am I enjoying the hell out of it so far, you start off as a simple low life Narco and work you ranks up to a major Drug Lord.
Is it better than Torn? I can't really say myself as I love both games but both have easy to use and simple navigation systems. For as far as text base games go Torn and CE are easily my top 2 favourites so far.
Torns been running for 20 years I believe and CE I think has been running for 2 years and even better I heard it was created by a Torn player themselves so hats off to whoever decided to have a go at developing their own style into a text based game :D and thank you for giving us Dogs & Cocaine
Seeing Cartel Empire mentioned a few times here so I went to check it out. Great game so far and it's fairly similar to Torn but I wouldn't call it a 'Torn Rip off'.
inspiration comes from a Torn Player himself and from my day of playing CE I can easily say i'll keep playing to see how it progresses with time :D
Oh and it has dogs for everyone who's requested that here in Torn XD
I mean yeh that's exactly what I wrote ;) suggestion forums are here for a reason are they not.. obviously if it's a bad idea it will continue to get downvotes :D and the point would be to own horses & cars as a collective plus it 'could' be a stepping stone to add pets into the game... but like I stated i'm no developer at all, merely just a peasant playing a game making a clearly terrible suggestion in the suggestions forums XD
Not sure if this has been suggested but I know pets are a suggested thing so here's my idea...
Similar to normal racing I think it would be cool to own different breeds of horses and have new tracks to compete in horse racing for example a Quarter Horse (with a whopping 55mph top speed) would go into A-class all the way down to a Shetland Pony (with a staggering 30mph top speed) would be in E-class.
Could also implement a Horse Passport in the points store similar to a Racing Licence for 25 Points. And maybe it's own Horse Racing leaderboard.
Obviously i'm no developer/programmer so I don't know the difficulty this would entail.
