There is no middle ground here. Do you honestly think with the same knowledge before Clinton was elected that he would have been elected, and reelected? Of course not. Here is the flaw in his theory. As pretendident he can pardon all of his friends and himself of FEDERAL CRIMES but that is where it ends. State crimes can not be pardoned by a president. That means that it is the state crimes, like fraud and conspiracy to overturn an election cases, can no be pardoned except by that state's governors. The Georgia governor has already gone on record about not pardoning any of the criminals involved in the election cases. The New York charges are already convicted and they are just figuring out the punishments. The New York governor is a Democrat. Do you think they are going to pardon him? I doubt it!
If a person commits a felony, ANY FELONY, they are supposed to be barred from elected office.
