Great team, had a blast! We did well timing pushes during our first defense and with pushing other teams down on ticks later on. And we had a hell of a last charge. We were pretty well coordinated and we all helped each other out. Had some good puns. and some bad ones, which are also good.
Sure there were a few leadership decisions I slightly disagreed with in the middle hours but for the most part I think we did pretty good job sticking together.
I'm a little tired of certain players projecting the hate they have for Nova (over old drama or whatever) to the rest of the 700+ goats who were on the team. We didn't diss your mothers in the backrooms of ancient Torn forums or whatever it is and we didn't personally make or break whatever alliance promises you guys had.
From my perspective there was one flip on our part: when we switched to hitting Illuminati. There were a few people who wanted to flip earlier but for the most part the team stuck to the plan. We all figured it would happen eventually because we wanted to try to win. I mean that just makes sense to me.
The Dongs flip later is understandable since not flipping was fairly risky. It would be them vs Illuminati at the bottom (I think this is when the Dong flip happened, it's been a long few days). While I do think we could have got Illuminati out first, Dongs would have an uphill battle. I do feel like this is the decision that turned a strong Maybe to a Certainty that Illuminati would take first though.
Short Bus not wanting to ally with us makes sense too, it's a much easier path to 3rd.
The 3v1 makes sense, I get it. But man if it doesn't make for boring TV now. If there is any change to the current standings I'd be very surprised and kudos to whichever team makes that happen.
Honestly I thought we were all going to take down Illuminati and then GOAT would defend against all remaining teams until we go down or they do. And even though we had a lot of tickets at one point that bank would be the main thing even giving us a chance in that scenario. Which could have also been a fun way to go.
My main goal when signing up for Elims was to finish in top 5% and I got it. Sure would have been nice to finish first so I could be done with Elims completely (and I might still be). But my primary regret is for all the GOAT fam who hadn't won a top 3 finish previously. Them merits is hard yo.
Finally for all the Dong, SB, and Illuminati players who now have me living on their blacklist rent free: the bounties were honestly not personal! Lol.
Spiteful? Yes. Wasteful? Absolutely. Unnecessary?
I don't know about that one. For the most part, sure it didn't do much more than piss a lot of untouchable players off - but on occasion it bought us some time to make some hits in those last hours. At that point most of us were down with making this as uncomfortable as possible and try to take down SB first if we could, but between people sitting on our pages and SB leeching tickets we had a bunch of E that needed throwing away and no time to do it. That's all. No hard feelings, just trying to shoot our best shot, with a little help from the 5th stat.
So I enjoyed the other two Elim raps from Robberhood and SeaLion. I hadn't been able to listen to them before today. I was making a beat anyway so I figured I'd write a quick verse to it.

Tired of his boasting, his boss called his bluff, "OK, Dave, how about Tom Cruise?"
"No dramas boss, Tom and I are old friends, and I can prove it." So Dave and his boss fly out to Hollywood and knock on Tom Cruise's door, and Tom Cruise shouts,
"Dave! What's happening? Great to see you! Come on in for a beer!"
Although impressed, Dave's boss is still skeptical. After they leave Cruise's house, he tells Dave that he thinks him knowing Cruise was just lucky.
"No, no, just name anyone else," Dave says.
"President Obama," his boss quickly retorts.
"Yup," Dave says, "Old buddies, let's fly out to Washington," and off they go.
At the White House, Obama spots Dave on the tour and motions him and his boss over, saying, "Dave, what a surprise, I was just on my way to a meeting, but you and your friend come on in and let's have a beer first and catch up."
Well, the boss is very shaken by now but still not totally convinced. After they leave the White House grounds he expresses his doubts to Dave, who again implores him to name anyone else.
"Pope Francis," his boss replies.
"Sure!" says Dave. "I've known the Pope for years." So off they fly to Rome.
Dave and his boss are assembled with the masses at the Vatican's St. Peter's Square when Dave says, "This will never work. I can't catch the Pope's eye among all these people. Tell you what, I know all the guards so let me just go upstairs and I'll come out on the balcony with the Pope." He disappears into the crowd headed towards the Vatican.
Sure enough, half an hour later Dave emerges with the Pope on the balcony, but by the time Dave returns, he finds that his boss has had a heart attack and is surrounded by paramedics.
Making his way to his boss' side, Dave asks him, "What happened?"
His boss looks up and says, "It was the final straw... you and the Pope came out on to the balcony and the man next to me said, 'Who the f**k is that on the balcony with Dave?'
Surprised this isn't going to be at the bookie. Hell of a fight - I think both fighters are great and I'm not sure who's going to win. GGG likes to come forward with constant pressure, cutting off the ring and breaking down his opponents with a steady barrage of punches. Canelo likes his opponents to come at him so he can make them miss and then counter. Shouldn't be much running in this fight. Possible slugfest.
Alas, I use an old af computer for Torn that will no longer allow me to update the browser. I mostly keep it for music production, since my recording setup is Firewire based and I don't feel like rebuilding the whole recording configuration with a new computer when it works just fine for my hardware synths and mics. I use a separate computer for my day job, which sits on the same desk so it's quite convenient for Torning during the day.
Anyway, I'm not sure why this part was changed to using toSorted since the main benefit of using it is to preserve the original array. Do the loops in validateAchievements() and fillGoals() work more efficiently or consistently if they remain in the original order? Regardless, I believe you could accomplish the same thing with [...ACHIEVEMENTS].filter().sort() which is backwards compatible.
The latest update seems to have fixed the issues - much appreciated! I understand that eventually support for older browsers has to end, but thanks for doing this!

So at one point I reset to the spawn area and I lost my nerve and eggs. It had been higher nerve, like 6 or 8? I can't remember anymore. Have all my gear though. So, I went back to dungeon 1 to see if I could increase it again. Now I am stuck:
I tried to clear them individually but got a message saying that the heat sinks were too hot. So perhaps not a bug, but an enhancement request? Could we have some sort of message indicating the heat sinks aretoo hot to remove? It's possible that someone might decide not to clear the chassis if they wanted to do more cracking before waiting for them to cool down.
I'm currently posting this with TornTools enabled. However, I also confirmed with it disabled.
It happened with my first chassis and I took screenshots when I was going to do the same with the other two. 2nd chassis did not have any heat sinks so it cleared just fine.
I modified the code from Yarrow above to be a bit more tweakable, and output text that's a little more friendly to the eyes with regards to spacing. It also loops the password prompt in case you want to keep trying combos without having the run the script again.
There are modifiable variables to limit the results of matches in case there are a ton that can flood your screen. You can also sort matches alphabetically and there is an option for including the line number to indicate how common it is.
Since torn doesn't like to display tabs and multiple whitespaces, I replaced every tab character with ---|
