I was playing normally with a couple of extensions on my browser and I got this captcha saying I was flagged
I dont think Ive been doing anything sketchy as far as I'm concerned, although I did earlier try to play with torn's api for a self-made app I tried to fenagle, but that was mainly for informative purposes, nothing unusual, but even that was several weeks ago, I made a forum post asking about better api docs a while ago which I only played around with for a day or two before quitting
I admit I did try to look at the code on the source tabs of the inspect menu, but thats like once or twice at most this was also during the time I was trying to work with the apis
I'll admit that my presence hasn't been exactly like the usual player's but I'd assume that developers and bug hunters would be given a little more wiggle room
yes, I did try stuff with the public APIs on postman using my own api key, but nothing of the sort to break torn's TOS,
here are my extensions;
[image: i.gyazo.com]
and the apis I accessed were through this website:
https://tornapi.tornplayground.eu
what my question is, should I be concerned about this?
Note: I mainly use floorp browser (gecko based) on my linux laptop
Ive been trying to wrap my head around crimes 2.0 and CE, and I can't seem to come up to any conclusion other than the only way you can somewhat determine your CE is through OCs, but even that has too many variables like who you end up with, and weather or not you were the reason the OC failed
seeing that nnb is no longer a way to determine CE (its just about who spent more nerve on crimes, more nerve spent = more nnb) how else is someone supposed to know what their CE is?
heres what we do know
CE is directly proportional to CS
CE and CS gain rate increases with crime chains
CS is directly proportional to nerve spent
NNB is directly proportional to CS and nerve spent
admittedly, we don't technically need to know CE anymore seeing that we could still determine somewhat of our CE through NNB still, and by trial and error of OCs after a set certain NNB (which may still leave much to be desired)
what I assume would be easier and quicker to find out would be "how much nerve do you need to spend to reach x NNB"
what are your thoughts on this?
this kept bugging me that I kept having to read and tell the numbers apart repeatedly on which one was least stocked on the bootlegging crime so I just made this one-liner code you run on the page's console to find out which one
you just open the bootlegging crime page
open the console on that page by hitting F12 or ctrl+shift+i
[image: editor-cdn.torn.com]
and paste this code
console.log([...document.getElementsByClassName("genreStock___IT7ld")].map(e=>e.innerText.replaceAll("n","")).map(e=>e.includes("copying")?e.split("copying"):e.split("queued")).map(e=>({genre:e[0]=e[0].replace(/[^a-zA-Z]/g,""),number:Number(e[1].split(",").join(""))})).sort((e,n)=>e.number-n.number)[0].genre);
it should tell you the least stocked item among all the CDs
let me know if you want an explanation of how it works, but I think chatgpt can explain it just aswell as I can (I'm definitely not being lazy on that)
and if anyone ends up using this on an extension; be my guest, I dont know how to make extensions yet but I look foreward to
I'm trying to make a personal torn tool which works best for me using nodejs and the torn apis, but I can't seem to figure out how to selectively search for specific logs on user -> log selection
the only way I can think of to get data from 100 days ago, is to get all of my logs, unfiltered, then filter them all myself, there has to be a way to query the data than to request a boatload of unneeded data all at once then have a script filter them
this is me trying to use tailwind on the comment as a test for scripts and better formatting
thank you! fixed it

nope just got it for the very first time today, although it seems it happens every time I come back after a while

thank you! This is amazing, I came across the documentation and it wasn't as nearly as detailed as this
