Just wondering if there has been any thought given to the fact that there are inactives or fedded players who have a lot of wealth tied up that's no longer a part of the games economy.
Maybe an idea would be to push long term inactive players cash wealth into their wallets to allow active players the chance to mug some of that dead money. First thought would be to stagger the amount by how long the player has been inactive but that's just a detail.
For material assets perhaps a "gank" or "yoink" feature that gets unlocked for players who have been inactive for a long time or fedded and allows players a chance to steal locked up drugs/properties/books etc.
I'm with you on that counterpoint. There could be limits in place so you don't come back totally skint, or perhaps a few boosters applied to help returning players get back what they have lost a bit faster than usual. I'm not totally aware of how the torn economy works either but rare items or large amounts of money just locked up in inactive accounts seems to be a bit of an opportunity to boost the economy gradually without creating more money or items, which devalues everything as a whole and then potentially flooding the market if people do come back.
Just throwing it out there too. I could be totally wrong 😅
