I saw a couple of forum posts in Bugs that seemed to have a similar experience to what I've been seeing for a while; one post went inactive, and the other was deemed fixed, and that was about 6 months back.
The issue is that some items, viewed under Items, won't expand. A reasonably exhaustive list is below:
Obviously I haven't listed every item that works and doesn't, but I assume Staff can see the items I have in each category if that's needed. Any particularly interesting outliers I attempted to highlight above.
I have attached Imgur link to small video of Secondary not expanding, and Clothing expanding. https://imgur.com/a/qQPRF4e
I believe since day 1 I've had issues, but only today when wanting to find the quality of a weapon did I think it might be an actual wider-spread issue.
Use a Firefox-based browser. Have tested with all plugins off. Have done a (shorter) test on phone browser too; the quick test shows that the above list applies, e.g. In candy, only Box of Bon Bons will expand. Hard to imagine it's a browser issue when some items will work consistently, and others won't, but can try a Chromium based browser too.
Looking to rent a maxed out 4225 happy PI. Looking for 7 days @ 800k a day (only need a bridging property as hoping current landlord will be back by then)
Apologies, my last post here was ~9 months ago, and not being a regular forum visitor, I didn't notice your reply ~19 days ago.
This is no longer an issue, and hasn't been for a while, for two reasons:
1. It was a web-gl issue. When this was turned on in browser, the images which wouldn't load, would load/spin the 3D model etc.
2. Since I posted, sometime a few months back, something was changed with items. Now, all descriptions expand, and contain an image, even with web-gl OFF. The image that loads is still (does not rotate 3D style).
When hovering over the image it states 'Image model could not be loaded. Your browser does not support 3D rendering.'
This is now perfect! Description expands, image is shown, and the reason why the model isn't 3D is explained too. Both users & non-users of web-GL should be satisfied now.
Unsure if my bringing up of this initially contributed to the above solution, or it just happened regardless, but seems like a satisfactory conclusion :)
Just updating this for any future referencing etc.
