GTA results for GTA 1 2 and 3 · · 12 likes

Hey folks,

First things first: I do know "GTA 1 is the only GTA crime worth doing" but I am not concerned about my nerve bar here, I don't care about that anymore.

I'm racing ONLY cars that I steal, so I am posting this question: Does anyone have a current list of the cars that can be stolen from the GTA crimes?

I have tabulated my results here in an ugly format, and sooner or later I will make them into a prettier results list.

If you have more info to add, definitely do so, I would really appreciate it. Like with money, gifts, and rate ups for actual answers.

Thanks! ~QJ

Note: I'm keeping my crime results here, just in case it is useful. It looks like uncommon cars and rare cars really don't happen often!

At a guess, I probably got jailed 30-40 times during the GTA2 period. Whenever I got 3 in a short period of time, I would go do other crimes for a few days. GTA 3 is next!

Final results for 200 cars stolen for GTA 3 are in a whole different ugly format:

You sold 200 items for a total of $19,941,000

You have sold 2 x Audi TT Quattro for $110,000.
  • You have sold 1 x BMW M5 for $43,000.
  • You have sold 57 x BMW Z8 for $4,560,000.
  • You have sold 3 x Chevrolet Corvette Z06 for $150,000.
  • You have sold 62 x Dodge Charger for $4,278,000.
  • You have sold 70 x Ford GT40 for $8,400,000.
  • You have sold 1 x Ferrari 458 for $860,000.
  • You have sold 2 x Lexus LFA for $1,400,000.
  • You have sold 2 x Nissan GT-R for $140,000.
All in all, for GTA 3 I was jailed a lot more, but I pushed my luck a lot at the end, and most of them happened there, but it seems like I would get jailed at least once per ten cars, often more. A lot more neutral results as well.

Final analysis, if you're looking to do GTA crimes for money or merits, do GTA 1. If you are looking for a particular car, check these lists and hope you get lucky, otherwise, just buy the freakin' thing!

I hope this experiment has been helpful for someone out there!

Oh, special thanks to poopsammich, he did a bunch of GTA1 crimes for me (I did reward him well for his time and trouble) and I have the data somewhere in my mailbox but keep having problems posting it up here, so eff it. The mail system blows in this game, so I can't be bothered trying to search it out and reformat it at this point; it just has more of the same info showing GTA1 is better.

CALC splitting up · · 16 likes

For me, we're still all Calc family. I've donated to help build all of us up, and don't see any reason to let the fact that mom and dad are fighting change the way I feel about my brothers and sisters in the family.

I do wish there were better ways to let everyone know about the war periods, and I do think the sub factions spend too much time fighting instead of training, but it comes down to problems with communications being limited by the game. It's the way it works.

The initial idea of 'ing was presented as a slightly less restrictive environment with lower requirements for warring so we didn't have to lose family members and true friends who had served when real life intervened or when they screwed sokmething up and were unable to meet some requirements. I met that definition more than a few times, so I was always glad to have the safety net. The deal is, the purpose of 'ing shifted as 'ing became powerful in it's own right. 'Ing is every bit as powerful as 'ed these days, and I don't think most people realize it, and I don't think that the shift in power has been allowed for.

Once we get this figured out, I think things will come back together. Should Ghosty, Kath, Jello, Hank, and the rest of our leaders agree on everything? No. Should they kiss and make up. Yep. Whether it happens or not, I can't say, but I do definitely think people who think it is open season on "vulnerable" targets may have another thing coming.

Just my opinion, but I have put a lot of work and resources into this family, not just into Calculated, but into Calc Family. Can Calc businesses. And into training Calc noobs. Heck, a lot of them are tougher than me now. ;)

Having a faction bonus to increase revives, and/or having the ability to regen some HP with Nerve or Energy would be nice. I PREFER having the option to dump a bunch of hits if needed, it still doesn't remove the need to have people online to hold the chain.

Retal or Hosp Button Change · · 5 likes

In our recent termed war, I spent a lot of E attacking targets off of our Faction Events Attacking list. With that in mind, I wound up hosping, but not getting credited with retal bonus respect for several targets.

It also happened to me quite a few times, even when I had recently attacked a target.

R+ because I think this would make things a lot more fun for me, and I'm sure there are a lot of other people who would benefit. Besides which, retaliation is a fun mechanic, why not make it more available and USABLE for everyone?

Edd's Confusing Attempt at Trading! · · 2 likes

Edd told me to quit telling people he overpays, but what he really does is save me real time. He offers very good prices, and I no longer have to research the market, plus three other traders, then allow for their profits, then add everything up.
He's full service, and every time I've checked on his payments, they beat most of the "big guys". The money is great, but the service is amazing.

If you trade with Confused_Edd, your not going to regret it.

Didn't the Medieval Helmet used to protect from some temps? It doesn't look like it does anymore, but it's still listed as masked. Does that just mean it protects your face?

That's why I don't use the forums, no way to ignore the idiots. Too much garbage, and I just don't need people shitting on my screen.
Implementation could be simple:
If you thumbs down a post, add the option to snooze for a week, or just block or ignore all threads created by the author, or all posts by the author.

I guarantee the software already exists, in open source, in a form easily adaptable to Torn's forums.

It's just a suggestion to update a factoid with more current info, it doesn't seem like a bug or an issue.

If it should be moved, I'm sure there is a mod who will do it.

Either way, it's okay by me. :)
