I’d like to propose a new feature that could add more functionality and value to Private Islands and Castles: an Armory Add-On. This feature would allow property owners to store and manage items, loan them to trusted friends, and lease them for passive income.
Key Features:
Armory Tiers:
The Armory would have three tiers, each with a specific capacity and cost:
Small Armory: Stores up to 50 individual items (stacking does not count).
Cost: $250 million.
Medium Armory: Stores up to 100 individual items.
Cost: $325 million.
Large Armory: Stores up to 150 individual items.
Cost: $400 million.
Players cannot upgrade by paying the difference between tiers. Instead:
To Upgrade: Players must purchase the new tier at full price.
Important Mechanic: All items must be removed from the existing Armory and returned to the player's inventory before upgrading.
Selection Process:
The Armory Add-On would be available as an option on the Property Customization Page, where players can choose the desired tier and manage upgrades.
Loan System:
Items can be loaned to players on your friends list.
Players must remain on your friends list to retain the item.
Unfriending: If either party removes the other, the item is automatically returned to the Armory.
Leasing Option:
Lease items to other players for a fee, creating a new source of passive income.
Fees and terms are set by the property owner.
Leased items cannot be sold, transferred, or destroyed, and must be returned after the lease period ends or if the player breaks the terms.
Why This Would Be a Great Feature:
Enhanced Property Functionality: Adds more value to Private Islands and Castles, making them feel more interactive and worthwhile.
Personalized Item Sharing: The loan system lets you share items with trusted friends without relying on faction armories.
New Passive Income Stream: Leasing items introduces another layer of player-to-player trade, ideal for high-demand gear.
Custom Storage Options: The tiered system gives players flexibility based on their needs and goals.
Balancing Suggestions:
Cooldowns: Items returned from loans or leases may have a cooldown before being loaned or leased again.
Restricted Access: Only property owners can retrieve items from the Armory.
Note: If this idea has already been mentioned before, I’ll gladly remove this post. Just let me know!
This feature could introduce new strategic elements to housing, deepen player interactions, and create fresh opportunities for income and collaboration.
The first thing I ever really asked Roxi was "You're a Marine, right?" Her answer was the one you'd expect: once a Marine, always a Marine. That was August 2024, and it was pretty much all it took. Different eras, different duty stations, same Corps. She went in when I was five years old and never let me forget I was the baby.
A couple weeks later she showed up in my DMs asking why I owned a company with no EDUs and no stocks. She wasn't giving me a hard time. She'd watched too many new players burn out and didn't want me to be the next one. That was Roxi. She called us her nooblets and she looked after us. Every time I asked for a hosp, a boom box or advice, the answer was yes, and she never once let me pay her back.
Every November 10th we traded Marine Corps birthday messages, and she'd thank me for my service like hers didn't count for more. She told my kids' Halloween pictures were adorable and claimed Harley Quinn and Wednesday Addams as her role models. One night I showed her a site that plays any radio station in the world, and she went straight to the rock station she grew up on and stayed up telling me about it. Life wasn't always kind to her, and she never acted like it owed her anything. Somewhere in there she called me a brother. I've been carrying that around ever since.
She also told me she was too mean to die: "Heaven won't take me, Hell is afraid I'll take over." I believed her.
I checked in on her every few months to make sure she was still kicking. I'm going to miss having someone to check on.
Fair winds and following seas, Marine. You stood your watch. We have it from here.
