I've since discovered it was unexpected which somehow make it even worse. ...
We shared a mutual interest in stupidly large dogs. Was very kind to me when a family emergency faffed up her planning a couple of weeks ago too...genuinely very saddened. I have no idea if this was anticipated, if so even more remarkable she found the time to listen to my drivel. A real loss; having lost a couple of my immediate family in the last 18 months, my sympathy is with hers - what they are going through will be absolutely mortifying. Terribly, terribly sad indeed
