Who are THOR?!
We're The House of Retribution and have been an active faction for years!

A former HoF Faction who are looking to make a comeback and we're looking to expand!

We're looking for more members to get involved in chaining to gain respect and to get more bonuses, so join for the ride and the more effort you put in, the bigger the rewards!!

So it might not be a major issue, but the icon for Faction and Company have disappeared. From my own icon area and also on my profile page. But it's clear that I am still in a faction and a company.

When there was peaceful factions a fair few years back it meant there was literally like the top 10 factions warring each other and nobody else was at all. Meant it became very dull unless you were a HOF faction, and if you didn't have the stats to be HOF then you were screwed and hosp 24/7

They will become more of a thing as more attachments come along.

Example: Have a powerful primary with really low stealth

Have a weaker secondary with suppression for increasing likelihood of a stealth attack

Do other stuff first, it's not that great, but come back to it after everything else, cause then you can get the merit for it, I've finished all the education (apart from the new bio one which I've got a few days left on!)

It's worth having for anonymous emails every now and again, and coding viruses, I get a monthly 200k (nothing major but nice) from having full education and stock benefit. Helps with the networth I guess as getting 200k for letting something happen in the background is great since most my money comes from non-networth based avenues (bazaar sales of stock benefit)



Overall, go for it... but only once more important and useful things are done!!

Some aspects of Torn City (old Torn) was harder, factions for example, the old war system where factions could be picked on, I remember when I used to be a Faction Leader about 6 years ago and spending the vast majority of it in hospital since we had one of the "big boys" which had millions in cash to throw at drugs, refills and chaining in general (before inflation when it was millions not billions) The new system makes it much nicer on smaller factions as the HOF can't use you as fodder for the chains that were 1000 attacks long! - Does everyone remember those days prior to "bonuses" when chains would go on for HOURS.

Other aspects of Torn (new Torn) are harder, it's unlikely that a new player without huge investment from older players, factions friends will ever get close to the stats of the level 100's!

But leveling seems easier these days, Levels used to take months, not days, when I joined about a year or two in the highest level was level 32, and people were racing to get to level 35 as Ninja Legacy had only just been released!!

Dividends in general aren't great and I wouldn't recommend until you have all the other ones and have plenty of cash already from selling stock items and have maxed out the bank. But IOU is the exception as it gives out "smaller" amounts of about 75k - 1M quite often (I average about once a week if not more) but Once you have all the better stocks and have the cash to splash, go for it, the few times I've had TCC pay out it's been quite good as it's a decent amount of money, but is NOT anywhere near quarterly, I find it pays out for me about yearly.

For me most my money comes off selling stock benefits and interest on bank, I fly for flowers, but just to convert to points for refills

Best stock.. well, LSC, SYM, HRG FHC are all good as they give things you can sell and make a fair bit of money off.
MCS as Energy boost!!! and now that energy can stay over 150E can have some huge trains as you can stack up E pretty high!

IOU is great too, dividends don't make a great deal for you, but you get random events from people in law job making money for you, not huge sums, smallest has been 90k largest 2M! And they come relatively regular, few times a month for me?

It's an average time of one a week to get benefits. You might not get anything for a month, then get 5 in an hour, just gotta be patient.
