I'm excited to share some updates on the current progress and trajectory of Torn Radio 2.0! Here's a not very brief rundown on where we stand and how you can help:
Browser Extension The extension, dubbed "Torn Radio Player", is now in a stable and polished state, and nearly ready for launch. We're still working out a few details related to the radio itself, but the core extension itself is stable. If you’re proficient in JS, feel free to check out our GitHub repository and contribute. The browser extension is now available here!
Early Access As mentioned above, we have a GitHub repo, where we've released the pre-release version of the extension. Please note that the radio feature is currently using a template radio from some weird Russian site I found and is not fully active yet. You can check it out and provide feedback as we continue to refine it.
Community Involvement We need DJs and other enthusiastic people to bring Torn Radio 2.0 to life! If you're interested in helping out or even just want to see the progress we're actively making each day, join our Discord server to get involved and stay updated on our progress.
Official Licensing Contrary to what some people have said on our previous forum post, we are indeed going to be getting licensed. This is just a generally good idea overall as it ensures we're not bringing any problems with us.
Launch Timeline We're aiming to have the radio go live in about two weeks time. Please note that this is a big estimate and not a guaranteed date, but we're working overtime to meet this deadline.

I've been working on a small programming project to refresh my skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. In the four days since I joined Torn, I've managed to create this:
It's almost ready to go, with just a few minor bugs left to iron out. I plan to release it as a Chrome and Firefox extension soon. (You'll find my post in the tools chat, so keep an eye out for that)
Before I do, I wanted to get some feedback from the community, especially from those who remember the original Torn Radio. I've heard about its evolution into community-made versions and the initial issues and drama surrounding the original. As someone new to the community, I'd love to know if you even want a Torn Radio 2.0 and, if so, what features and improvements you'd like to see.

actually correction correction: gives control to someone, they fair pretty well on their own while i am busy dying and getting domestically abused and living out of my car. when i come back they demand ownership because somehow i am expected to operate a radio station from the back of my car, when i say no they start nuking the server so i eventually give up and finish nuking it

For the past six months, I have been dealing with severe personal issues, including homelessness, domestic violence, and serious illness. During this challenging period, I entrusted both Slash and Tanarra with the management of TornFM because I believed in their dedication and capability.
Today, that trust was violated. In the midst of a discussion regarding my return to TornFM as my circumstances have slowly started to improve, Slash demanded that I instead step down and hand over the keys to her. When Slash realised she wasn’t getting her way, she began deleting channels without warning. I had no other option but to immediately remove her to prevent her from f**king the server completely.
This incident has made it clear that Slash’s involvement in TornFM was driven by self-gain, revealing her true colors once it became apparent that I wasn’t going to hand over full control.
Anyways, I've decided to finally f**k off from Torn, if you're in PT join the giveaway in the server and you have a chance of winning my shit.
