The newest update features a complete UI overhaul making the Casino finally look like an actual online casino. All of the games have been visually updated to look more like current day renditions instead of games from the 2000s era of the Internet. And I have Mods now helping me with the payouts so you Xanax arrives faster now.
I am also extremely proud to announce the grand opening of our betting market where you can put money on all sorts of Torn and IRL related things. My dream would be to change this to the version many online betting markets run right now, where you can buy and sell the outcomes, but this requires so much volume that I am not sure if this would work. I am sorry to inform you that this has been on their radar for a long time, I have wrote with bogie and PJ almost from the first day I opened my casino as I wanted to be in complete compliance from the very start.
So yeah, I am increadibly greatful that they have given me the chance to operate it for so long, but it is also completely understandable that, given the situation, they had to shut this down. By now there were about 20 Casinos and Discord servers and most of them were so ass that you couldn't even survive a day on them as they took more than 90% RTP and you could just see that they were made in about a day.
Dude, I can tell you, after seeing the amount of money I made in such a short time and already having the code, I have thought about going for Real Money a lot, but seperate from this (I don't wanna get banned). But the cost to set something like this up is astronomical, either mutiple 10k€ or multiple years of jail and I am not about that haha
With me not being here long but having seen some drama in the past. I really have to say that you are handling this very well and I am thankful that we are told before and the community was also been able to vote on this.
I have people tell me already that I should disable my service right now as I will just get fedded even though there is going to be a grace period but I wholeheartedly believe that this is not going to happen.

This might seem like sucking up to the people in power to some people, but I can only say that I had only good experiences which bogie, PJ, and Ched in the past and I just really hope this drama can end with me still being able to make content and games under the Torn Ecosystem.

Of course their not all being paid, some of them might be, but you sure know that it's not all. There is a world where people just like gambling and don't have a problem,. I have always loved gambling but do like to do it with fake money instead as for me losing real money just hurts more than winning money. I don't have a problem with gambling just because I like it, I play maybe once every three months with friends when we are drunk and even then only about 20-30€, for me it's literally like going to the cinema.
I can understand why you are not for 3rd party casinos and I have already said that I will shut down when the community votes to ban casinos, but I can assure you I have not paid anyone to vote no here, people have send me the link to this forum post, have already send me their best wishes and told me how sad they are that this is now coming to an end.

I just think there is no real reason in arguing, we can see that the community obviously does not want casinos and that the decision to ban them has already been made, it's just about the wording.
So please chill fellow operators, you found an infinite money glitch and started using it too late for it to really pay off, this is just the risk of operating a business, just move on and use your creativity for something else that makes torn better, I know I am already doing this.

Well that one is easy to explain, they just have more games and are just more modern than Torn's own casino. I mean Systemd's casino even had real slots in there, like the one Stake and Roobet has on them.
It makes sense though, his line of thought is completely right and if I wasn't running a casino as well I would say the same shit.
As a trained economist I can tell you that this is just game theory in effect, as soon as you don't repeat the games anymore it is just the best course of action to take everything and leave the other person with nothing as you don't have to care about your reputation anymore
Yes and people wanted that for ages, but Ched always said that he does not want to put more work into the casino as it is not his vision for torn or something like that. This was where I saw a need and I acted on it, I just saw so many people on the gambling forums wishing for something better so I made something better.
I never wanted to cause any problems, quite the opposite. I wanted to give the community something genuinely nice that people could enjoy and obviously that is the case for many of the users I have playing on my site.
And this is also not in any way me trying to talk anyone into letting us stay. I think bogie is handling this very well asking the Community. I have made my casino for the community and if the community votes on banning casinos then I will abide and close down.
Thank you for the concern, personally I would love to keep operating the casino as I put in a huge amount of work into it and love giving you guys the chance to play.
I do however have to abide by the rules Torn makes and whatever the staff tells me to... I have another project cooking where a bigger part of the community can probably see the value in but it has nothing to do with gambling. I do find the idea to make it non-profit intriguing but can't see yet why people would play there if they can't stake "real" currency. Maybe I can try to make the casino a "Social Casino" but I am not sure if this is going to be allowed by the specific rules they will implement.
In the end I have to hope that they either don't ban all casinos outright, which seems highly unlikely giving the sentiment of the thread, or that they make it a highly regulated market, which I had the idea of doing myself already, but as I am a casino owner myself it wouldn't really have made sense to open a regulator service haha
Haha, very true, people called me out on my name multiple times already, but what can I do it is my gamertag since I started playing games basically, not going to change it for looking better as a casino owner :P
This is very sad as I have worked a lot on my casino and thought I could give people a nice experience doing something they enjoy. I always tried to be very fair and have people even tell me that my site enabled them to restrict their gambling to torn money instead of real money, which was obviously something I was happy to hear.
But seeing so many Casinos pop up recently I kind of figured that a decision like this is not going to be long. Obviously I am happy to comply with an ruling made by Torn Staff but have to say I am quite sad to see the code I did spent over half a year on by now have to go to waste :(
I am already working on another project though which could not at all be considered shady and I hope that when I release it over the coming year I can genuinely give some value to the community that people can appreciate more than a casino.
