Relatively speaking, I'm a brand new player. So my perspective is very limited, but I've enjoyed my time so far and it's nice to see a game consistently getting new features and active development, especially since it's been around for so long. I'm not sure how I didn't know this game existed for so long tbh. 

I definitely get the sense that there are multiple factors at play regarding dissatisfaction with the game. And opinions are like assholes, everyone's got one. 

I will say that, so far, this game has taught me how to be patient over the long-term and to stick with something consistently in ways that I haven't been able to maintain in a game before. I like that I can choose how often I interact with the game and it allows for me to fluctuate between extremely invested (read: online) and relatively passive (only logging in to check chats, take drugs, hit the gym, steal money from a grandma, etc). My ADHD begets varying levels of interest in any one thing so I like that I can flow between these states without guilt. Perhaps I will grow bored eventually but, with the help of my faction and my own initiative, I have long-term goals for myself that do not consider where I am on a leaderboard, which feels healthy.

Not to mention the sunk cost fallacy- I'm sure there are many folks out there who play this game simply because they've already spent so much time and energy that it would feel like a waste to stop. Constantly grinding to get to or maintain their status/wealth/etc.

That stress isn't for me but I can see how it could be addicting.
