How it works
This script analyzes historical Torn.com API sales data to provide real-time valuations and insights for the current Auction House listings on your page.

How the valuation is built6 evidence steps
01
Match
A sale only counts as evidence for a listing if it's the same weapon, perk, roll % range and rarity. This grouping is called a cohort. Everything that follows happens inside one cohort at a time.
02
Correct for outliers
Before any math runs, sales that look like mistakes or one-off manipulations get filtered out. This is done statistically, comparing each sale's price to the typical spread within that cohort, and it's capped so it can never throw out more than a third of the group. If a cohort looks genuinely all over the place rather than having a few outliers, the filter reverts back before the next step.
03
Reconcile
A higher quality/perk roll won't price below a worse one. Where a thin sample says otherwise, it's corrected against the rolls around it.
04
Normalize
If recent sales happen to be mostly low-quality rolls, normalization logic kicks in. Where the relationship between quality and price is measurable, validated with actual statistical fit, every sale gets restated to a common reference quality before proceeding to calculate.
05
Recency weight
A sale from last week does not count the same as a sale from a year ago. Sales are weighted on a 45-day decay curve where the recent evidence supports it. Recent sales count close to full weight and a sale from last year still counts, just at a much smaller fraction. This same logic feeds the market movement insights.
06
Insights in addition to valuation
Confidence bands, market shifts and trends are shown in addition to the Average Auction Value (AAV), using the same logic that was used to build the AAV.
What appears on the Auction House page7 practical reads
Inline on every listing
The AAV sits beside the bid count on every row in the Auction House. Click the value label to open the side panel for more detail, including sales history and insights.
Priced to the exact roll
Different perk values carry different cost values. This is taken into account for every perk type.
Market trend
Up, down or flat, over a reasonable period-on-period window.
Dollar per point
The value of one more percent of a perk, or one more point of quality, measured when enough data is available to back it.
The sales themselves
Dates, prices, roll and buyers/sellers displayed in the sales history, all sortable in their respective columns.
Exact weapon/armor ID
When a listing matches a specific item that has sales history, it is flagged as such.
Market manipulation flagging
A flag shows when most of a cohort's sales trace back to one seller, or the same buyer/seller pair.
What the website addsbefore an auction is even open
Every market, side by side
All 145 items with their sale counts, rarity mix and how recently each traded — sortable, searchable, and filterable by weapon or armor and by rarity.
One perk, one rarity, one roll at a time
Price varies sharply per perk percentage point, so nothing is averaged across rolls that are not comparable. Pick the tier, pick the perk, pick the roll, and every figure follows your selection or says plainly what it does cover.
Weekly price history and the roll ladder
How the market moved week by week, and what each roll of a perk is worth across its whole range, with the uncertainty drawn around it rather than implied.
The sales, named
Date, price, roll, quality, buyer and seller for the completed sales behind any figure. The evidence is the product, so none of it is hidden.
