Feedback for Poker Tables ·

In any case online your cards can just be revealed by the villain anyway

It's not a big deal and I'm waxing internet pedant but no that isn't how it is.

Private Poker Tournaments ·

The SnGs can sort of kind of do that atm.

Torn Series Of Poker? ·

Big tourney would be absolutely baller.

I wouldn't base the desire for any MTT on SnG. It might be people aren't interested in tourney, but it might just be chicken/egg.

Nobody ever looks at SnG because nobody ever just sits and waits.

One thing we could do as a community is just to make a sort of 'unwritten rule'... Like... Try to sit SnGs on the hour?

Or maybe try to set a couple of times across the community so that at TCT 12:00 and 20:00 people try to sit them.

Another potentially good idea might be random entry tickets to SnG/scheduled tourneys that drop as a part of won pots. Like maybe a pot has a % chance to drop an entry ticket to a $1m-entry SnG.

The future of Torn Poker · · 3 likes

Just thread-jacking a bit to say the poker engine here is pretty dang phenomenal for being a side-show.

One feature I think would be cool would be a "bad beat jackpot". These are ubiquitous enough to be googleable.

The essence is you have a jackpot that continues to build and that jackpot is paid out if someone loses a hand with four of a kind or better. But usually that jackpot is built from "the rake" which doesn't seem to be a thing in Town which is great.

I know the interface has what seem to be sit-n-go tournaments in it, but nobody is ever playing and sitting and waiting hasn't worked yet.

So a second huge feature I would love would be some scheduled tournaments to help corral the #'s into that format some. A big Torn MTT would be awesome but I don't think MTT is even a thing just yet.

I also think it might be pretty cool to tie some crime into it. People just won't play if you screw with the game too much, but there's no reason you have to be "straight" about things either. That is to say, I don't think there's any technical reason you couldn't allow a player to utilize their game stats/special items/nerve to somehow cheat while still maintaining the poker game integrity by just telling both of them they won.

Keep up the great work!
