I'll start this tale earlier in the week, 4 days ago in fact, when I thought I'd hit my lowest point in Torn.. Who was I to kid myself!
It started with my first OD in the game - a Xanax OD. Less than a day after I'd rented an overlapping PI as my current lease wasn't being extended and I didnt want to go through the annoyance of binging alcohol or flying to Switzerland to get my happy back up if I were to go homeless for <15mins. $850k, cheap insurance so I told myself and carried on doing my usual flying regime. To this point, I had not succumbed to selling my torn body for losses. During this overlap, I planned on doing some choccy jumps to make the most of it (as at this stage in the game, happy jumps do take me a while to save for and I'm all about them consistent gainz), dropped a Xanax after a flight from SA and the nightmare began..
20:08:14 - 12/02/25 You overdosed on some Xanax going to the hospital for 83h 20m and losing 100 energy, 35 nerve and 4,275 happiness
Just like that, all my happy gone (may as well have gone homeless), a xanax gone to waste on my benzodiazepine dependent ass and now effectively 1.6M in the hole for nothing but a headache and my happiness stripped from me. Thats a couple long haul flights for a tornewbian like myself! With no happiness in sight! So with nothing to lose, on the attacking forums I jumped. Losses for 275k at first, only occasionally I told myself.. The odd one between flying, it won't hurt, just until you're back in front from the OD. And then I started doing business with Pete. The invincible damage dealer Pete. A man I now (and still do) look up to in Torn City. One loss - not 15 seconds later, 300K into my torn wallet.. medded out of hospital, re-attacked, another loss, another 300K. All in the space of ~30 seconds. This was too good of an opportunity to miss out on, so spending my 100 energy and committing all my crimes, I took off to SA once again and returned with a full energy bar and my Xanax OD cooldown gone.. And then it began. Stacking Xanax for losses. 14 hits, a good amount of money. Between trading with my guy after flying and selling xanax fuelled losses to Pete, my body was becoming a mess, I was ashamed of what I had become, but the cashflow was amazing. "Screw the choccy Jumps, ill be able to HJ my way to the moon! And its not like anybody would really care about the losses I've sold".
It only took me 3 days to save for my 5 Xanax (1 for Gat for insurance), 5 eDVD's and 1 ecstacy and the cherry on top was the Love Juice on valentines day which covered my last 2 Xanax quicker than expected!
I did my final Xan stack yesterday, no OD. This was all going all to well. Bring on happy jump around 1AM torn time!
My over-confident ("I've done heaps of happys to this point") self saw the clock, thought "we are on here" and so I begun
01:32:55 - 16/02/25 You sent a Parcel to gat with the message: HJ insurance 01:33:23 - 16/02/25 You used an Erotic DVD gaining 2,500 happiness 01:33:25 - 16/02/25 You used an Erotic DVD gaining 2,500 happiness 01:33:27 - 16/02/25 You used an Erotic DVD gaining 2,500 happiness 01:33:29 - 16/02/25 You used an Erotic DVD gaining 2,500 happiness 01:33:30 - 16/02/25 You used an Erotic DVD gaining 2,500 happiness 01:33:35 - 16/02/25 You used some Ecs- Absolute sheer panic.. Why cant I take my E?
01:33:35 - 16/02/25 You are still under the effects of Xanax - Cooldown to expire 01:45:00 Yep, perfectly on the other side of the xx:45 ticker when my eDVD happy would wear off. The timing couldn't have been more perfect if I'd tried - my ignorant, benzodiazepine dependent, self sold out ass had simply not checked drug CD prior to stacking.
Off to kunckledheads I trudged (there was no way out of it) to execute the meekest pathetic unhappy jump the gym had ever seen. I'm sure Duke even offered me some cash on the way to the gym to sort out my bottom lip that was dragging on the footpath behind me. The gains were horrible, the gym session horrible, my dignity...non existant.
And to think moving to selling losses was my low-point in torn! Like I said higher in the post - who was I kidding!
TLDR: Went to do a happy jump, didnt check drug CD - sent insurance, stacked eDVD's and was still under the effects of xanax.. Happy jump turned into a sad jump very quickly.
Just another day in the torn world of a cocky newstarter who thinks he's got it all under control...

Disclaimer: I'm a newb, first time I've witnessed a large TT war going on in torn career and it's intriguing to follow. Some of the below info may be incorrect, I'm just following from afar with no context to behind the scenes details.
In summary:-
Net gain 3 TT's for Nameless
Current pushes coming in against HT
Strong counter-defence from IMF against VTH on their Sector 6 RUB
Internal TT war has opened the door to three factions mounting assaults on TCR (Nameless), TCR not looking bothered
I'm a newbie of 285 days at this point and have no prejudice/bias towards D3vL apart from observations as per the below:-
People make shitposts in GD about him for quitting/not being active
There seem to be far more negative posts towards/about him than positive
He has a namesake which I've not read the description about
He's a very well known player in torn
Anyways, went to buy xan the other day through usual route (market place > weav3r bazaar script) and saw D3v1 pop up and thought "that's odd - why would D3vL be running xan, thought he'd be well past that".
Clicked the name, got confused further by the faction name, clicked faction and slowly realised it wasn't the "real" D3vL (also Honor bar threw me off a little). Actually laughed to myself and wondered how long this could get kept up for considering the rules quite clearly state:
For new players like myself, more experienced players (especially those that have a namesake after them and/or are well known/spoken about in forum) do somewhat hold a position of authority within Torn. Aside from that, you most definitely would be gaining an advantage early-game by pretending to be somebody who you're quite clearly not and is a lot further advanced in the game than your own account.
Unsure how the rule could be interpreted any other way?
TL;DR: Got confused by D3vL & D3v1 accounts when buying xan the other day before further research. Direct outcome of somebody impersonating another. Unsure how this isn't being acted upon whether reported or not.

Recent Highlights / Lowlights
The assault on PVB is now over and what a slug-fest it was. 66 Hours of to-and-fro between IMF and VR that could have gone either way. Serious bit of resilience shown by both fac's
Update for today as of 00:45 31/12. Subjective titles removed as to remove any perceived bias in reporting - this is definitely not my intent. Have also only been working off objective data presented by ACE-3 in this post and apologies to all if any information has been incorrect thus far. Groups have been split simply if they fall into separate columns - not taking into consideration those factions that fall in both OBN and Nameless Alliance columns because of conjecture surrounding this.
Summary:-
Current net gain 6 TT for Group A
Current net gain 2 TT for Group B
Current net gain 1 TT for Group C
Current net loss 5 TT for Group D
Current net gain 1 TT for Group E
Sector 7 - TCG changed hands twice since start of war with IMF taking this off VTH after they had taken it off BRC

Not only this, but what if it were a rule being broken aside from the impersonation (Harrassment, Discrimination, Extreme Flaming, etc) that is being discussed in this thread?
Would it be acceptable if the the report was ignored because staff didn't subjectively deem it as being "harassing or discriminatory enough" so instead of actions being taken by staff, factions and user had to spend in game money and RL energy to resolve it?! Absolutely not.
Yet here we are nearly a week after original post was made, no action besides "case closed" with no real clarity on the rule itself and instead a pinned post from CM with more effort spent defending their own and their teams actions instead of cordially explaining rule interpretation due processes.

Couldn't have captured this any better - well written Grafiti.
The abetting rule seems to be getting used so subjectively and unlike in IRL where rules (or laws as they are called IRL, anybody ever heard of those things?) can also be treated subjectively dependent on the accuser, there is no system within Torn whereby somebody can plead their case.
IRL if pleading non-guilty Charged by accuser > Trial (with Public Jury or at the very least, a judge not associated with accuser) > Sentencing > Jail Time
Torn if pleading non-guilty Charged by Staff > Trial by Staff > Sentencing by Staff > Jail time set by Staff
Some clarification at the very least of what systematic approach, if any, is used to review abetting breaches (or any rules that get broken that aren't cut and dry such as Multi's), would be very much appreciated by all community members IMO.
That's really interesting - so it could potentially be a "softer landing" post museum day we are currently experiencing on flushie/points pricing instead of the typical hard floor we hit?
So realistically once factions start running out of their reserves, demand should increase to a satisfactory level again and level out the market as they will have no other option but to buy up in large volumes for members point refills?
Disclaimer: Newbie here myself, but analaysing data fascinates me and things aren't really adding up.. Not complaining about "how tough things are as a new guy" though as I'm enjoying grinding my way to hopefully reach the magical 2B bank investment mark one day.
I think there is a bigger problem than just new starters having it tough tbh. Have taken market value of items/points in 10 day intervals since the date points were removed from RW's (20/05) and basically the supply and demand argument, aint supplying and demanding. The torneconomy is in a pretty bad state. FYI Percentage values are based off the "baseline" value taken on 20/05.
There theoretically should be less points in circulation now they aren't awarded as part of RW participation, yet price has continued to dip with no floor in sight.. Won't be long until the museum education pathway is not worth the time it takes to obtain or the $ floor of points is only slightly higher than simply trading flushies in high volume.
What happens then? And what drives the economy? Do flushies become worthless as they serve no other purpose in the game besides trading them in yourself for points?
Basically flushie runs (after removing outliers) have decreased in profitability from 5-12% over the past 60 days
Points have decreased ~7% over the past 60 days and still dropping
Boosters have increased a ridiculous amount
User count has only grown ~5% in this same period..
Was using scripts that scraped tornPal before tornPalgate, swiftly moved to Weav3r's / bzimor's tools purely for buying purposes and finding the cheapest items.
Was super excited for bazaar directory release and to maybe make back the 5% on flushie runs I was losing to item market tax.
Have visited Bazaar directory about 3 or 4 times since its inception; won't even be bothering wasting the points on opening a bazaar any time soon now.
Might explore it later on when I'm not playing at a level of running paycheck to paycheck (flight to flight?) to keep up the 3x xan training between HJs, PI rent + donator pack overheads at bay.. but for a new "casual" player that does use scripts, bazaars just aren't feasible as an alternative to item market for selling nor has the bazaar directory shifted that dial at all. Will just keep sucking up the item market tax or selling to traders.
