BREAKING: WTF strikes Violent Resolution with a dirty bomb.

I'm not going to be reporting on this here. I have been writing a proper, objective and unbiased TCT article, so hopefully you can read it there this week once finished with all of the facts on the situation.

However on the topic of DIRTY BOMB, DJ neth has dropped a final track on the situation. He was sleeping so unable to drop it at the time of the bomb, but he just woke up and made a coffee so here it is

The Story

In a move that left all of Torn scratching their heads, some noob named Dsla,  leader of Violent Resolution, launched a raid on the WTF Healers. Confusion swept the city. Dsla quickly claimed it was a misclick.

What kind of monster raids the best reviving faction in Torn?

The Motive

Investigators on the scene quickly pieced it together, completely disproving Dsla's initial claim of a "misclick". With monthly bills creeping around the corner and the rent due, DSLA appears to have resorted to mugging green leafs for a cool $50m.

A truly noble pursuit.

The Plot Thickens

As the heat turned up, it seems DSLA started running low on diapers — reaching out to yet another WTF Healer green leaf to beg for a truce.

Perhaps he's color blind? Because what exactly would a green leaf noob know about war powers? 🤔

Deception From Within

Word from inside Violent Resolution paints a grim picture about their faction culture. DSLA has apparently been lying to his own members the raid was "fake", whatever that means. As our anonymous source so eloquently put it: tf is a fake raid?

The Refusal

After some further "negotiation," it became clear DSLA really needs that $50m. No refund. No remorse. No interest in making things right.

We reached out to DSLA

Our correspondent team privately reached out to DSLA for a comment on the record. Due to being busy, all he could state was "Damn, must be a slow day on the forums."

So What Now?

WTF has no intention of stopping.

As the wise old chedburn once said (probably, somewhere, idk):

"Mess with the bull, get the horns."

DSLA, Torn's Biggest Bully? You Decide!

We've been receiving anonymous tips hinting that this DSLA fella is a real big bully. Picking on smaller folks left and right, and we can't seem to find a good reason behind it other than some weird fetish.

Per my PSA post, a torn update broke many scripts that used less-than-ideal conventions in their code.

I have some time today, more tomorrow, and claude tokens I'm not going to be using this week so I am willing to burn them to fix the issues in scripts. I've been using a prompt to repair a bunch already. So please reply with scripts you'd like fixed and I'll run them through the prompt, test them, and post them here via a gist on my github.

EDIT: As of 6/3/2026 I don't really have the time to fix anything for the next week or so, but people in the replies should be able to help out. If it is really urgent you can DM me the script and I can attend to it when I have the time.

Installing fixes from github gists:

Note: You may be able to just click the "raw" button on the gist's page to prompt for install, however sometimes that doesn't actually install the fix over the original script. So please verify that the version of the script ends with -fix before reporting issues with a fix, if it doesn't then you didn't install it properly and may need to do below.

1. Copy the code from the fix's gist, keep it on your clipboard
2. Click the tamper monkey icon at the top right of your browser as you would to enable/disable a script
3. Click the arrow next to the script, in the drop down click Edit
4. Click in the edit window of the script
5. In the window that appears click into the code edit window to get your cursor in there, select all (Ctrl+A), then paste over it with the fix.
6. Ctrl + S to save it.
7. Keep an eye out for when the original author pushes an update and update to that version

Yes I could do it manually and know more than enough too, but AI is way quicker and I already paid for my subscription. May as well put it to use to help some people.

I noticed a ton of scripts just broke due to recent updates to the website. 

Per cloudjumper's reply to one of the bug threads:

This is basically on the script writers to fix, not for Torn devs. Torn uses React with CSS modules, which generates class names like status-icons___xYz123 where the suffix is a hash that changes between builds. Never hardcode the full class name - it will break when Torn deploys updates. Based on what the devs have told me, this is just down to bad scripting practices. You need to reach out to the script writers to get the issue fixed.

 

Closing and locking the report.

Examining a lot of the scripts I use which broke, I found that they all fall victim to hardcoding the react generated class names instead of an attribute selector with substring matching.

Using cloudjumper's example, here is how you can fix it to not have to fix this again in the future.

Change

document.querySelector('status-icons___xYz123');

To

document.querySelector('[class^="status-icons___"]');

This tells querySelector to search for any elements whose class name starts with status-icons___  and completely ignores the randomly generated react class name ending.

Here are my selectors for many different native torn elements in the code for my torn-stock-pocket script. Personally I omit most of the 3 underscores ___  just for the sake of readability.

Yes DEI hiring and what you described is essentially "racism in reverse" is bad and shouldn't be a thing. Yes "wokeness" has gone too far. iLB has discovered a groundbreaking new war strategy called staying in the hospital

My stock script's entire purpose was built around one-click, to not have to sit there and manually calculate how many shares to buy/sell to reach a certain target. It is legal because when you click one of the buttons, the script does one action; it'll just send the web request that torn itself would send when buying or selling stocks normally. This is only legal because the script sends the non-api web request to the same page that torn itself would send it to, which is an important thing to note when creating scripts that bypass confirmations in such a way.

So turning something that would normally take you 2+ clicks into 1 click is fully legal as long as your script is actually only performing one action itself on the page (i.e. web request, a button click, etc) and it is only doing so on that page of torn and not another page

Many people sit on the chain page or keep it open when bored, plus we have external tools that notify us any time a retal is possible. Can't do anything about stealth hits but if he complained I am sure someone would sit in his loader for him and then add whoever kept attacking him to our list

Also there are way better leveling targets out there, what matters is level not stats

I get not wanting Torn to look like that standard modern minimalism slop that 99% of websites are comprised of, but these new buttons are a massive regression. They look tacky, like we went back 10-20 years. And most importantly they just stand out way too much and don't really fit in with the design of the website

I wouldn't call Zima a leveling target considering he has an entire faction behind him that will retal every hit on him especially when it comes to events like halloween, good way to cook your med cd
