Hey Everyone!

First post on the forums, wanting to share a bit about a chrome extension I have been working on for myself. Would love some feedback and Ideas if you have them. The extension is not currently public but I intend to make it so after I finish working on this.

What the Extension Does:

The extension I made is to fix some small quality of life things I found myself doing manually throughout the trading process. I am kinda surprised these features are not just built into torn to begin with.

1. Total Stock Investment Display

As you can see, when I navigate to the Stock Market page, a div is added that displays the total value of all stocks that I own. Being a lower level player, I use the stock market as a bank, and store large amounts of cash in there when I am not actively purchasing items with it. this gives me a good grasp of my total investments.

2. Listing Items improvements

One way I like to make money is buying items from the jewelry or miscellaneous tabs of the Item Market that users list at the RRP, which is often much lower than the rest of the listings for that item.

When I am in the market, the extension highlights clusters of listings at the top that are significantly cheaper then the other listings and would likely be flipped for a good profit.

3. Add Listing Improvements
The most time consuming item market task for me was finding what price I should list items at. Now, on the add listing page, all items get some text added nest to the RRP. If a user enters a quantity, the extenstion makes an API call and finds the cheapest current listing for that item. This means I can go buy up everything cheap in Jewelry for instance, and then quickly see what price I need to beat to resell.

In this case, I bought a gold ring for $400, but the cheapest one listed is $888, meaning I can make a good profit off of selling it at 799.

4. Total Listing Amounts.
Another big task I was doing manually in a spreadsheet every now and then was seeing the total value of all my listings. now when I go to the View Listings page, the script sums up all my listings and displays a number. this number updates if I were to happen to sell an item while on the page, or increase the quantity.

That's about all I have done thus far. Let me know what you think! Are there any other features I should add? any feedback on my implementation thus far? If anyone is savvy with stuff I am happy to share my GitHub repo and let you toy around with it thus far.

Best,

Haha I may or may not have discovered it in the forum the second I posted this.

Lots of features in there are exactly what I was looking for, namely everything I planned for stock market was already built! I definitely am gonna keep expanding on my Listing page changes (The lowest price in line on the Add Listing page is just too damn useful) but I will be pivoting from recreating features that are implemented so much better in TornTools.
