It's not random, though, since players will vote based on who they trust and who has convinced them the best. The town's information is extremely manipulable in BOTC due to the prevalence of drunkenness and poisoning: townies are never quite sure whether to believe even their own information, let alone others'! That helps the evil team quite a lot if they use it well. An experienced evil team could convince an active town damn near anything if they play the social aspect well enough.
Also, I would argue that there is no such thing as flawless play in a social deduction game because it is so personal and social, although the gap is perhaps somewhat closed in a text format where reads are purely based on the words on a screen. Our choices with our abilities were probably pretty good, but it's the social aspect that matters most and that is evidently where we fell short, especially by opposing such a loud, trusted, confident voice in SnowQueen. But even that could be a calculated and strong play - I had her pretty convinced I was the demon for a time! If we had better utilized that we may just have taken the win.
But, not every game is for everyone! And BOTC is particularly reliant on a very active town, as the dead are encouraged to keep playing, keep chatting with everyone, and keep trying to work everything out, as a single dead vote may swing the tide at the end of the game.
Doesn't that make killing the recluse a great idea for town because you are eliminating a reasonable person for the evil team to pin blame on later in the game?

Thanks for hosting! Sad about activity yeah... I wonder if we might be able to get the players (and your interest in hosting of course) for some live Discord BOTC/mafia/etc. sometime?
I poisoned Rainbow (Virgin) the first night, so her ability did not activate. Snow was the actual drunk who incorrectly saw Keystone or you as the drunk when neither of you were.
You're not even trying to refute my logic - all you have to say is that my "theory is ridiculous"... Bold, when you're an evil player IMO.
But since the dead hold the majority of votes, and there remains a tiny chance that Pilvlp is the demon, thus a tiny chance of winning the game for the good team if he is executed instead of me, I will vote Pilvlp as well. Thus the evil team won't be able to "rise up" as easily in case a dead player or two puts a vote on me.
There's not really anything to say today that wasn't said yesterday. Keystone killed his minion, SnowQueen, because she was the only one that nobody thought was likely to be the Demon. The Minion power is no longer relevant at this stage of the game, and only the Demon needs to survive for the evil team to win. The remaining three alive all have people that think they may be the demon. I nominate and vote Keystone.
In Blood on the Clocktower, the win condition for evil is to have TWO players alive, and one of them has to be the demon because if the demon dies, the good team wins. This is why we must execute Keystone to win.
