Hello everyone, I'm Zeropower, a Mexican player who stumbled upon Torn purely by chance. I was looking for a game similar to one I used to play many years ago on Facebook. It started with the word mafia and ended with wars. During my search on Google, I ended up in a forum where someone mentioned Torn as a similar experience but with much more depth. And wow, they were right.
My first day here was overwhelming. There was so much to see, so much to read, and so many things to do. Some of them could take days or even months to complete, and that’s exactly what I was looking for. I make the most of my downtime at work by checking in on Torn (don’t be like me, be responsible!).
Right now, I know there's an incredibly important guide that helps everyone, but on my first day, I didn’t see it. So I tried looking for advice on YouTube, and that’s where I ran into a small problem. Torn is a game entirely in English, and it even prohibits the use of other languages. I understand that—it helps maintain order and a universal language. But I imagine that’s also why there isn’t a Spanish-speaking community to help new players like me understand the game in a language they’re comfortable with.
It was an adventure trying to figure everything out and choose my own path. Instead of studying Sports Science like many others, I chose Computer Science as my first course. I know that choice will cost me some stats, but with Baldr’s guide, I eventually came to understand the game.
Right now, I’m really enjoying my time in Torn. I found a faction where I’ve been able to take part in wars, and I also have a 9-star job. I read and occasionally help out on the Torn subreddit too. But more importantly, I want others to know that if anyone out there is in the same situation I was in, feel free to message me and ask anything in Spanish. I’ll do my best to help so that you can enjoy this amazing city just like I do.
Lol, he just sent me a message after he bought my plushies on my bazaar but now I didn't restock my plushies and flowers because now I insta trade with him, really good price (the 99% market price is real)
I know, in my case the english is like my second language, my level is not high but I can enjoy games like Torn with no problem, but probably there are some players that their english level is too low and the game makes harder for them, i want to tell them that I'm here to help them
