(1) While I was in the military (1990s)and on a field training exercise for 2 weeks in swamp-landia. Myself and one of other team leader were pulled out of the field and made instructors assigned to teach mountaineering to West Point Cadets.

I had been in the field for 2 weeks living out of a Ruck sack and was down to my last dry and cleanish Battle Dress Uniform. I did not realize that my crotch had torn open about two inches from Balls to butt. I also ran around oh natural because humidity and heat plus undies equals crotch rot.  I had not slept in a couple days and was working on anger and caffeine.

As I demonstrated how to properly perform a Swiss repelling seat. I secured the seat around my waist and then between my legs and squatted. As I pulled the ropes tight over my shoulders and went down to tighten my crotch ropes. I then heard female laughter from the cadets.

In a rage I cussed at them and told them that not paying attention would get them killed for being stupid I made them so push up and burpees as I cussed more and kicked dirt on them. One of the female instructors was scared and went to get my other team leader.

He grabbed me and hauled me off to explain what was going on and calm my rage. 5 minutes later I was giving a heart felt  apology in front of the cadre, cadets, and commander of the training section about my unserviceable uniform and lack of ball huggers. I was never allowed to instruct college cadets ever again thank god.
