Maybe I'm just really missing the old days of ball drop type minigames (the actual name is censored), but I feel like Torn could host it and it would still be fairly successful. Maybe like $10 for 100 balls, and prizes are similar to what B&B or travel spots sell. Different boards would be awesome, but that would take a lot of planning since these games aren't entirely just created randomly.
Or maybe a coin pusher type of game since some other casinos have those too.
Really I want a game that allows at least a modicum of skill with still a heavy dose of luck/chance thrown in there.
I've tried all the Googling and associated programs that a lot of older posts have mentioned. XnViewMP, Paint.NET, and IrfanViewer do not let me open this old .MIX file from my grandpa's CD that I'm trying to preserve for grandma. I can't ask him for help since he passed away 5 years ago and we only found the discs recently.
Does anyone know any other reliable ways to get a .MIX file to open in this modern day? I saw that it was related to Microsoft programs Picture IT! and PhotoDraw (as well as Command and Conquer apparently) but the Microsoft programs are no longer supported and I've already tried more funky downloads than I should've to get those programs running. I'm assuming I can't just grab an old copy of Command and Conquer and view the file through there can I?
My wife is a fairly sensitive eater which makes my recipe planning difficult. I eat pretty much anything, but don't want to cook for just myself by using onions. There's plenty of other things she doesn't eat, but they can be easier to plan around (canned tuna and bell peppers being the most common after onions).
Does anyone know any recipes that make a large amount or easily without using actual onions? I feel like almost every casserole or one pot dish I find calls for half an onion to be involved which won't go over well with her, the amount of food, or the flavor of it all.

If anything I think our household uses too much garlic, so I would want to try and incorporate other flavors into a dish. I hadn't thought of using garlic (or other similar root produce?) to replace onion ingredients though, so I appreciate that suggestion.
We do use Onion Powder, I just had concerns about it being overpowering was all. I take it just a simple sift and taste as we go (if possible) would be best.

I guess so? Plinko has always felt like a one and done kind of thing though. Drop the ball/coin/disc, have it land and that's it.
Ball/Coin drops that I'm thinking of only end when you want or can't pay anymore. Japanese ball drops (still can't use their official name) and arcade based coin drops have strong incentives and have been put in plenty of arcades with real cash as a prize if you push far enough.

The only reason I still actually search the dump is because I got SUPER lucky and found 2 bags of Speed. Sold for over $50K on the market, and I've been chasing that luck ever since.
