The Left cares about the environment, unions, better pay, getting people affordable healthcare and education, closing the wealth gap/ limiting the gatekeeping of opportunities and connections, and ensuring people are treated equally.
The Right just seem to hate taxes, abortions, trans people, and "blackwashing", sometimes mixing in with the outright hateful people seemingly without concern for what that means about them. They all seem not at all concerned about the corporate takeover of our political system if it's good for their 401k. Corporate welfare is ok but the homeless should die with the babies they forced to be born.
Idk what the right means in the rest of the world but I just assume it's varying degrees of fascism; sexism, homophobia, religious nonsense, concentration of wealth and power, fear, propaganda, scapegoating minorities for distractions based on one crime or event they can project on the entire population... Making the majority male population feel displaced, triggering their fight response, anything to reduce logical thinking while gaslighting the left for having a proper response to everything even if sometimes they're reaching or slightly overreacting.
Weird religious cult shit, greed, control of the populace, it's literally every bad thing in every movie or game, Republicans commit crimes because they're greedy or crazy or both, Democrats commit crimes because they deal with evil sick f**ks and are struggling. Everything conservative has always just been shitbags, like wtf? Where is the redeeming qualities?
I found this guy while doom scrolling reels on Facebook, and he's the best, he basically will tell you everything I try to tell you but more intelligent, witty, and with a better accent.
Lol I've said this so many times, I'm more of a free market Marxist, even though he believed the market was a vehicle for wealth disparity, I do believe in a classless society with collective ownership of any and everything they might need. But more like a federated co-op that runs separately from the government, and is basically an all-inclusive resort.
The federal reserve launched interst rates into the sky and then they made Reagan look great as he shredded the labor class with their agenda, often times the financial market seems to collude to make their candidates look best.
I agree, Nixon ending the gold standard was the beginning, but also that's when they changed their entire perogatives, the Powell memo, the start of the heritage foundation, Bush in the CIA, there was a lot going on, the corporatist strategy for the fascist takeover of America was forming.
A lot of people act like Hollywood, Twitter activists, and the Democratic Party in D.C. are all the same machine. They’re not. A movie casting choice or some loud college activist isn’t federal policy. But voters often lump it together and react to the vibe instead of the voting record.
If you actually look at what Democrats have done over the last few decades, it’s hardly radical leftism. Under Bill Clinton you got financial deregulation and welfare reform. Under Barack Obama Wall Street was bailed out, not broken up, and military operations expanded. Even now, the party supports big defense budgets, market-based healthcare, and corporate-backed industrial policy. That’s not some socialist takeover.
So when people say they’re voting against “the left” because they’re mad at Hollywood or online culture, they’re swinging at a shadow. Cultural trends and federal policy are different arenas. Mixing them together just leads to voting based on irritation instead of what lawmakers are actually doing.
The real centrist position in America looks more like pre-Reagan politics than today’s baseline.
From Franklin D. Roosevelt through Dwight D. Eisenhower and Lyndon B. Johnson, both parties supported regulated capitalism, strong unions, high top tax rates, antitrust enforcement, and programs like Medicare. Markets thrived, but guardrails protected the middle class. That was the center.
After Ronald Reagan, tax cuts for the wealthy, deregulation, union decline, and corporate consolidation shifted the baseline right. Democrats largely adapted under Bill Clinton. Since then, both parties have operated in a more corporate, more centralized, more executive-driven system.
If center means balance between markets and democracy, then restoring those guardrails is not extreme. It is a return to the historical middle.
Abrahamic religions (i.e. Judaism, Christianity, and Islam) are multi-millennial fascist blueprints disguised as salvation. They are built on one supreme authority, absolute moral law, and obedience framed as virtue with eternal punishment for dissent. That structure has been recycled for centuries to justify authoritarian rule, from the Vatican enabling Mussolini, Nazi Germany’s German Christians fusing theology with racial ideology, Franco giving the Church control over schools and public morality, Khomeini institutionalizing clerical rule in Iran, Zionist politics fusing religious law with state power in Israel, Islamic governments suppressing dissent under Sharia, Christian nationalism in the US, to Russian Orthodox support for Putin.
The patterns extend further. Sexism enforced as divine law, women forced to submit and bear children. Homophobia framed as moral sin. Racism justified through chosen people myths and purity codes. Patriarchy institutionalized. Anti-labor and self-sacrifice messaging teaches obedience and suffering as virtue while elites consolidate power. Teaching children they are born sinful, constantly watched, and one wrong thought away from eternal torment is not spiritual guidance. It is existential extortion. Fear is wired in before reason develops, priming generations to obey, submit, and reproduce authoritarian structures. This is not just belief or faith. It is a societal engine for fascism, inequality, and control running on sacred authority, fear, and unquestioned obedience for thousands of years.
All that crazy fascist sexist pedo Islam shit has happened in American Christian communities like I could bring up an example for anything. You guys are twin religions.
