This is showing my age here, but yall remember when Eve Online used to allow player ran casinos? It functioned how it functions now in Torn. Third party sites you would send your in-game currency to, no real checks and balances on these sites and plenty of room for exploitation. The worst part about it was it was legitimately used for massive RMT and real-life money laundering. I've seen a few of these in Torn and I would be shocked if this hasn't already led to RMT and money laundering.
If I were to guess, someone probably has a scraper up to constantly monitor and read the jackpot winners page. When it updates with a new winner it most likely pings a discord channel with an attack link to that person's profile and that person attacks and mugs said winner.
In other words, a mug bot thats probably against Torn rules
Forgive me if this is a noob question. I've searched through the forums and haven't found a concrete answer. What I can find is somewhere between September and October. Does anyone know the actual month/week the newsletter comes out for the fall quarter? I ask because I am still holding onto my summer newsletter free energy for Halloweek and I don't know if I should use it or wait since I am unsure if the Fall Newsletter will come out before or after Halloweek.
