The Shoebill is a large and prehistoric-looking bird native to the swamps of East Africa.
People sometimes call it "the world's most stupid bird". When people come near it, instead of flyinf away like most birds, the Shoebill might pluck its feathers and give them to the person.They chatter their beaks loudly during courtship or greeting which sounds like a little machine gun.
Shoebills also stand in one spot for a long time, waiting to catch food.
Overall, Shoebills don't seem to make good decisions.
While some may perceive its actions as foolish or lacking in intelligence, perhaps there's wisdom in its simplicity.
