I'm only on day 3 so Ive been trying to find ways to hide what money I do have. I did stash some in a piggy bank I purchased, I also bought all the things I could that would be valuable to me right now, I've checked out the bank and I want to invest but I don't know how to get a cashier's check. Where can those be found? Sorry, I'm new and haven't figured that one out yet.

It sounds like once you recover and get going for real, it'll make for a good origin story not just now, but down the road. Sorta like, I cleaned up my act and look at me now! A reformed criminal makes it big in Torn. Good luck with the comeback, that challenge gives you a different beginning and storyline than most of the rest of us.
I was brand new and got one right away. Then I read a forum thread about keeping your money safe from muggers. I replied I put money in my piggy bank and someone immediately replied "what piggy bank?" Which someone else replied you can only get it during your 1st week of playing. A few post of jealousy emerged. It was then I knew the piggy bank was special. I still have mine with a rather tame $1,400,000 currently in it. Which would seem like nothing if I broke it. I plan to keep it and add to it sometimes. Its there in case of a total collapse. Its special, sentimental and serves a purpose. Its like having a rare item before knowing anything was rare.

Feeling pretty dumb now. Id go there and see "you don't have any cashier's checks" and figured I must of needed them or something. Went forward and invested no problem after seeing this. So thanks for helping me see it through, but yeah, feel foolish now too.
