It looks like an RS232 to USB A Cable and it defently not for connecting all devices. RS232 is just for controldata in the most cases. Here an short overwiew from wikipedia. 

RS‑232 (Recommended Standard 232) is a standard for a serial interface that was developed in the early 1960s by the U.S. standards organization Electronic Industries Association (EIA) and remained common on computers through the 2010s.

Mainframes and text terminals were linked via point‑to‑point connections over telephone lines using modems until the early 1990s. Data transfer between the two systems took place serially. Because of its original intended use, the interface shows certain asymmetries in the definition of the control lines, which can lead to wiring problems in later applications that became common in entirely different fields.

Than Show me where are in this little standrd switches from extrem Networks is the rs232 Connection? There are some USBs ( Universal Serial busses) SFP slot any a planty of RJ45

but no RS232. I bought my Master in the internet you know . just 99Bucks

And never forget RS232 to USB A Cables are not usefull for Private customers just if  you wanne connect an Printer from the 90s to your new PC of the 2020s;)

Just asked the persons in your local Hospital if thats works. But your are right it dont have to be an exact replica of the real life. But RS232 and USB this is too far away in another universe XD

i can introduce a catalouge but its just Power, Cat RJ45 and some coppercables with 2 ore 3 Poles. The catalog you will get in an PM ;)

OK so im Out may be im a bit Gegi, but its my Job to find faults. im Project Leader for Mediatech and i have to say i something ist right ore not. Sorry for that ;) Here are some pictures of my gegi JOB. RS232 cabeles are in this case not used. i just need it for turnig the Display on via the Touchpanel ;) 

i do not have also no casets in my car and im doin Spotify with my own fm transmitter too. Best thing ;) i have an 20 years old peugeot with diesel and i got TÜV 1 week ago ( it s an german aproovement that tha car is allowed on the street). The old cars are the best ones withous putting an usb device in it and say no thats not correct XD But about SNR Ratio plz dont talk to me it cant be that its good. i was an Audio techi in my old job;)
