I'm a fairly new player, and I'm storing my money in stocks. This leads to a fairly large annoyance: If I want to quickly withdraw just 20 million, I have no idea how many stocks I need to sell! I have to either sell too many stocks and pay too much in fees as well as risk getting mugged, or mess around in the stock menu trying to figure out the right amount. I assume other people also have this problem, so I quickly coded up a script that just lets me input money directly. No API key needed.
I was curious how each of the large faction families actually compared to each other, and I had a few hours on my hands, so I quickly coded up a script to check! After doing so, I found the visualization seemed quite useful, so figured other people might like it. If anyone's interested in the raw data, it's available here.
This is only including factions with one million respect or more, since the manual adjustments took a while already, and including all the factions below this would mean this would never get completed. Also, as an arbitrary breakpoint, this is only showing faction families with at least 101 members. Also, their ranking in respect among the factions included is shown in the (brackets).
Evade ratio is better: 1M Speed vs 17M Dex = Safe → Your opponent can’t hit you (Speed to Dex ratio is 1/16) But 1M Strength vs 31M Def = You still take damage (Strength to Defense ratio is 1/32)
So Dexterity can offer similar protection to Defense — with half the investment.
This isn't true. The defense ratio to avoid damage is 1/14, while the dexterity ratio is 1/64. Dexterity does have plenty of advantages - RW weapons don't trigger if they miss, you can use temps to lower the opponent's speed to get a bigger gap, tyrosine is cheaper and has a bigger boost than serotonin, etc. But this explanation above is just wrong. Also as a minor note, temps like tear gas aren't a huge concern later on since you can buy helmets, like the vanguard respirator, which block them.
That's a good idea! Took me a bit longer to add than I thought, but I added all the modifiers that work in normal input boxes (specifically, I added k, m, b, all, max, percentages, and fractions). Hope this helps!

I actually was aware of this before starting on this project! I created this separately for two reasons:
1. This website lists all faction families, but only if they're in alliances. I don't particularly care if they're in an alliance, and there's quite a few that aren't! For example, unbroken, nomads, and impulse are all large families outside of factions, and I was curious about them as well!
2. I was concerned about the accuracy of this website. I found a few things that seemed to be errors - for example, as far as I can tell, siege isn't part of natural selection? I might be wrong of course, but at the very least I was worried about that at the time.
The website is very nice as well, but figured that it was worth creating this as well!
Sadly, they have below one million respect, and I'm only including factions with at least a million respect, otherwise there's too many :/ happy to add them when they grow above a million, though!
I'm only including factions with at least a million respect, since otherwise there's way too many factions for this to ever be complete, sadly. Thank you regardless!
Thank you, updated almost all of these! I failed to find elemental, and the only subs I could find for legitimate and BoW were below 1 million respect (so aren't included here due to that). The rest should all be fixed, thank you!
Fixed, thank you! Though I didn't include IA bunker, since I'm limiting the list to factions with 1m+ respect, otherwise I doubt this can ever be correct haha
