🩷 THE PINK MAN 🩷

More than just tales. deep in Torn City's darkest, sloppiest Underworld—every night, Pink Man thrives.

He prowls from slum corners to alley shadows, gliding like a fever dream on wheels.

Those unfortunate enough to cross his path, whether by accident or arrogance, earn a first-class ticket to Torn Hospital.
No refunds. No exceptions.

Like Green Goblin, Pink Man is a fan of sliding and gliding, but one fateful night he had his borrowed (stolen) skateboard repossessed (robbed). This birthed a philosophical debate within himself, and thus he decided to break this vicious cycle. By any means necessary.

What he lacks in size, he compensates with a Glock by his side—ready to replace muscle with muzzle.

The dumbbell he carries isn’t for show. It’s for training the only muscle group that matters:
Trigger finger.

His Tactical A-Class (Adult) Containment Unit™ (Diaper) ensures operational dryness and containment integrity during high-movement scenarios, prolonged patrols, and unpredictable biological warfare events.

Pink Man does not break a sweat. He absorbs it.

He does not concern himself with the Law.
He does not acknowledge it.
He is the loophole.

Q&A

Who is Pink Man?

Pink Man could be anybody. It could be you. It could be me.
For anyone can don the mask—if they have the 200M to drop for it.

Pink Man is not a person.
Pink Man is an ideology.

You can Kill Bill, but Will is always Free.

Whose side is he on?

The winner.

Pink Man does not affiliate himself with flags or factions (allegedly).
He is the embodiment of FAFO and free will.

Why?

Inspired by Nike’s slogan, “Just do it.”

Pink Man did.

User generated missions - Let players submit quest · · 16 likes

I find text based games very charming and interesting, especially when they have quirkly lines (and torn is filled with it). Spent my first few days playing (or reading) each of the outcome of my crimes and it was never dull. Then I found out that newspapers comics & articles are (often) contributed by players, this is a great news to creativity.

This brings me the question, why havent Torn applied the same idea to that towards Missions? Think about all the interesting missions people can get (still random, still daily) where now instead there is a chance where people can get assigned missions that are generated by other players. That would be super cool or something, and of course, the submissions will be checked through a QC first before it gets a green light.

Or better yet, let people have the ability to buy 3 contracts (missions) a day. Let them also have the ability to reroll those mission they dont want to take at the cost of 1 out of the 3 mission limit.

I dont see much games implementing this, but I still remember the select few that does.

The way it works, I'm thinking that maybe a player can submit a mission for some fee (money gets deducted no matter if the story is accepted or not) through an NPC. It'll open a screen/dialogue box with the template of Title, and then a part where they can start writing their stories.

Now after they wrote the stories, they now have to pick a template of various scenarios, actions, & target of mission completion, and even the rewards (if it doesnt match the difficulty of the mission, their submission wont be accepted anyway).

Having to utilize the tools Torn already provided will basically help limit or anchor their stories/missions to only the kind of mechanics Torn already has to offer. This will breed to even more flavor text and unique things, in a way this will give people another thing to look forward to do as an alternative to Bounties, without diminishing any features thats already a staple here.

give us a reason to play a text-based game with TEXT-BASED gameplay, all the ads thats been bombarding social media makes it as if you can do and be anything in Torn. when the reality is all you do is buy 100 stuff daily from the city. Fly (have fun watching the plane take off and what not, with ridiculous model improved), fight dead players, and walk on egg shells not to offend people on global. gym, gym, gym. spam crimes. sit down idly and just get paid from your job.

you cant do anything outside of the time set (the amount of things you can do in a day) everything is about sitting down and wait and wait and wait and wait... there's no element for surprise after past couple weeks into the game. There's no use nor nothing to do in the game where it would reward those who wanted to DO something in the game (besides trading, even wars are termed).

even to upload comics requires you to get to level 10 which is ridiculous, and there isnt any much reasons nor fun to do missions because they're just there for people to js skip by reading it because its not exciting enough.

ive wrote something similar a while ago. Until this thread up and I realized that maybe with enough voice, or eyes to see, then at least my suggestion would be heard.

i present this idea:

User generated missions, where players can assign missions. Write interesting flavor texts, and be more involved with the game.

I dont see much games implementing this, but I still remember the select few that does.

We already have space to submit ideas to newspaper, we even have a place to post comics. So why not let us be able to submit missions as well at this point? There's plenty of people with bright ideas and imagination that im sure more than capable of making missions worth it instead of a chore "dailies". I have no intention on doing missions whatsoever after watching my friends doing tedious work where all you do is basically interact with dead accounts. Not fun nor interesting at the slightest.

I've written things into details a while ago, lost hope for a bit, but seeing other people think and feel that changes are needed, i feel like i too, want to speak up and break this repetitiveness of a game.

at this point, userscripts from the other players carried this game, real hard, that alone should make you think that you need to up your game.

thats all im saying, i wonder why its hard to grasp^^ im just hoping for the best and point out what might help cures boredom, all love for everyone. i hope you're all enjoying the game however you play it ❤️

then you simply dont see the Ads they throwing out these days to say such things - missing out the whole points that im talking about which is revolving around Missions.

Thank you for your input, but it's unnecessary to look down on me because im not the "right" messenger

long as the message gets out there its more than enough. I want the game to grow. Better gameplay, than focusing on polishing stuff to make it look 3d and "modern" when nobody asked for it.

if our opinion differs then so be it, I still wish you the best :)

Duke is a pussy: Remastered (100k+ active players edition) ·

no thank you, i live with my friends @ dorms who have full access to the game and they all complained the same thing, i've watched they play sometimes - they show me around of all the features you can do and what not. so I know what im talking about.

and its not about bountying with extra steps, i mean why do you play a text based game in the first place if you just gonna bulldoze through things because you already memorized everything and just mindlessly clicking on things. You may not have grasped the concept of UGC missions but I hope when you have spare time you'd try to read the source suggestion thread to somewhat get the picture of what it means and what the possibilities it will open. i said "submissions" for a reason. if the "mission" that was proposed sounded trash or not up to Torn standards then it will be filtered/rejected.

its not about whether this game is for me or not, its about having the devs remember that its a text-based game, promoted AS text-based game, thus having more options or things to read would make the game more enjoyable than tedious. If I want to spend my time watching a plane take off - fly - then landing i'd be playing Flight Simulator instead.

i'll give you a simple example to help open your mind: say that a ugc mission was accepted and the objective goes like "smuggle a xanax and use it to search the dump, remember to cover your mouth (vaguely sounding since it may let you use bandana, medical mask, or the gas mask)"  its all about flavor text on how to keep people entertained.

or something like "infiltrate a certain job and assassinate their supervisor without being found out"

all you need is a tiny bit of imagination to see the bigger picture and the possibilities that can come with it.

tl;dr : we want to play the game, we want to become part of it. we want to be able to leave our marks. More importantly, we want to be able to play the game like how it was promised to be.

Thank you for reading

My place is far from any beaches so as an average Torn citizen, I had to hit up my "sand" guy to get some delivered to me (no joke). Problem is- I ordered couple pounds but only one bag of suspiciously wrapped item made to the front of my porch earlier today.
