How do you choose what goes in my box? Is it rigged?
No bias here! I have a set loot pool in my inventory ranging from $1M to $1.5M. When a valid trade comes in, I run a quick RNG to pick a number. That specific number dictates exactly which item gets pulled from the inventory, wrapped into a Parcel, and added to your trade. It is entirely luck of the draw.
What happens if I send 43 flowers or miss one type?
Don't send 43 flowers, send 44 and don't miss one type 😊. Double-check your numbers before hitting send!
Let’s be real for a second, the casino in Torn is designed to drain your wallet, and Blackjack is no exception. There is no secret formula or magic system that will guarantee you a profit here. The house always has the edge.
You should really only be playing for the merits, for fun, or with spare cash you won't miss. Here is how to play the optimal math, stretch your bankroll, and grab your merits without losing your shirt.
The Basics
Location: The Casino in the Red-Light District.
The Goal: Beat the dealer by getting a hand closer to 21 without going over. If you break 21, you "bust" and immediately lose.
Card Values: Numbers 2–10 are face value. Face cards (J, Q, K) are worth 10. Aces are flexible, they count as either 1 or 11, whichever helps you more.
When the cards are dealt, you have four choices:
Hit: Take another card.
Stand: Stop taking cards and pass the turn to the dealer.
Double Down: Double your bet, but you only get exactly one more card. Use this when you have a strong starting hand.
Split: If you're dealt a pair (like two 8s), you can double your bet to split them into two independent hands.
The Real Objective: The "Twenty-One" Merit
For 99% of players, the only reason to sit at this table is the "Twenty-One" merit. To unlock it, you need to pull off all four of these specific moves at least once:
Get a Natural: Hit exactly 21 on your first two cards (an Ace + any 10-value card).
Win a Double Down: Double your bet and win the hand.
Win a Split: Split a pair and win at least one of the resulting hands.
Get a Six-Card Charlie: Hit five times so you have exactly six cards on the table without busting.
Basic Strategy: Playing the Math
Don't play on gut feeling. The dealer is locked into fixed rules (they must hit until they reach at least 17). Because of this, optimal Blackjack is just a math problem based on your cards and the dealer's single face-up card.

Don't fool yourself into thinking a betting system will beat the casino's algorithm. Systems just dictate how fast you win or lose.
Flat Betting (Best for Merits): You bet the exact same amount every hand (e.g., $10k). This is boring, but it's the smartest way to play. It keeps you at the table longer, minimizing risk while you grind for the Six-Card Charlie or other merit requirements.
The Paroli System (Cautiously Fun): You double your bet after a win, but drop back to your base bet after a loss. It lets you ride winning streaks but keeps your losses tied to your lowest bet.
The Martingale System (Absolute Garbage): Doubling your bet every time you lose so you win it back eventually. Do not do this. A standard bad-luck streak of 7 or 8 losses will either bankrupt you or hit the table limit, wiping out your stack instantly.
The Golden Rule: Set a strict budget before you open the Casino page. If you hit that limit, close the tab. If you catch a lucky win streak early, take your profits and walk away before the house edge catches up with you. Play smart!
