A boy who's cried wolf so many times that no one believes him anymore, however he somehow seems to have massively positive karma, so there must be some truth to his stories. 

Admins that have totally denied 100% faithful and accurate reports of mine and my peers before; my faction and I have discussed at decent length how the admins don't do their jobs correctly in terms of reports. I know several multi account players that have been playing unscathed following several reports that could very well be put to an end by a simple IP & activity check. The last war I was in with my faction was essentially versus a faction that was ran by one person with two accounts. I have a guy in my faction that says he plays with his girlfriend, but I know a good irl friend of his and he doesn't even have a girlfriend 🤣 You can probably guess it, though, that he was reported and yet remains unscorned.

At the end of the day, this is a game about crime, so the rules will be more lax than other games. I can understand 100% the situation here and how it's allowed, albeit kinda irritating.

HOWEVER, for a guy that doesn't even seem that ridiculous in his behavior, that is an extremely rude keepsake. The person that made your keepsake, D3vl, hates you so much in a personal sense that he refused to even spell your name correctly, so it seems as if you've unfortunately pissed off the wrong people at some point in time. Sticking around when the devs hate you so much is admirable, albeit a probable waste of time. As far as I can tell, the only reason that people are so adamantly against your report(s) is because you don't supply concrete evidence and you type your messages in an ADHD/ADD frenzy and forget to think about how the reader is going to perceive your interests. How do I know this? 👉 Having that you're quitting so gloriously and triumphantly in your sig and being here posting this makes people see you as untrustworthy, even though you probably just decided to quit in, as I said before, a frenzy, and changed your mind. I've been hated for the same thing in other places - for whatever reason, people will relentlessly hate upon you when you say you're quitting and then come back. It's almost as if a large quantity of them wants to quit themselves, but they're too afraid to relinquish all the time invested into their accounts. 🙂

(Revision: I'd like to add that if someone hates you so much that they put an item of you into a game and spell your name incorrectly throughout the entire description, that's probably not a place you want to linger. That means that there are people who hate you so much that they don't care about what you say or how you say it, they're going to fight you at all costs because of their own lack of respect and humility.)

I agree that your treatment is unfair, especially seeing as how I've seen unfair treatment personally in my ~120 days of playing. At this point, the people that support can outweigh the people who are against you 100 fold, and you'd still be in this situation, D3vl. The people who hate you have an immense amount of power compared to those of us who support you. You seem to really enjoy the game and to be a decent individual, and I'm sorry that your issue has ended up like this. Sometimes, quitting is the best option to save yourself the grief of a player base hating on you due to their own insecurities.

I've already considered quitting several times because this community is beyond toxic often, and this is a great example. A large portion of the end game population seems to be so hoity toity that they can't even bear the thought of sharing something equal to  .01% of their daily income, and that's largely the reason I've had several friends quit this game within their first few months. It's not the fact that people are so greedy that they can't share, it's the fact that they're so greedy that they shut off simple progress from newbies plainly because they don't want to lose any amount of capital, despite how much it doesn't hurt them. 🤣 

Same exact issue as the real world: the "1%" holds so much money that the world never sees any of and billions of people are struggling their asses off for .000000000001% in a year of what the 1% earns in a day. 

I'm gonna get downvoted on this post regardless, so I may as well mention that you'll receive hate not only for being a newbie, but also for having pictures of yourself posted here; I've largely only been able to deal with females in the game because men treat me like shit when they see my pfps 🤣 don't believe me? I'm marked as an enemy to twice as many people as I am a friend and I haven't even dealt with anybody in any capacity other than for my faction or for losses, and everybody that has purchased from me was 110% satisfied 🫡 it's absolutely absurd. This can be confirmed by checking my profile sig, as the only people have given me any sort of "gift" were women that were satisfied with my loss service.

A few of us have mentioned that, but Ched (and everyone else) seems to ignore us! Whenever Ranked Wars have less money attached to them and/or the goal of the game becomes something other than networth, then the wars will be fixed. You're 100% correct in that.

While your suggestions are very well thought out and you outlined nearly everything wonderfully, I think that the issue with its reception may be that you haven't adequately defined the core issue with Ranked Wars. Thus, you can't arrive to a positively game altering solution having not clearly defined what makes people join wars. 

There's a lot of factors here, and I'm too socially burnt out to be interested in typing a huge summary and/or solution.

Main points:

¹ In a game whose community strives for one collective, ultimate goal, it's very difficult to change that goal. We're talking about networth, folks.

² That being said, no one seriously committed to this game is ever going to want to join a faction that doesn't win wars, doesn't make money and/or doesn't provide adequate perks - this is the sole reason for RW controversy.

³ Honestly, I had more points and I'd love to write essentially a research paper on this, but points 1 & 2 clearly define the "problem" with RWs. At the end of the day, it's a roleplaying game. Want real wars? 👉Join a faction that has real wars.

Until the core focus of the game is changed, that's all we got, and I doubt Ched is gonna rewrite Torn 20+ years down the line!

AI advertising appeals to a larger populice due to the fact that it uses imagery, writing and filtering that specifically targets trends that humans follow when they use the internet and make clicks. 

Bigger numbers, for whatever reason, appeal to a large quantity of people. If I had to venture a guess, I would say that it's most likely due to the fact that people don't typically make a lot of money in the grand scheme of things, so they will often play games to essentially simulate real life statistics in a positive manner instead of working on actual wallets. People often want to own everything and possess mass amounts of wealth, yet remain unwilling to put in the effort to actually produce those results.

HughJanus was probably chosen because he/she has a simple and laughable name which is much more inclined to produce clicks (as mentioned briefly above).

This is the future, folks. If we weren't active Torn players ourselves, many of us would most likely be more inclined to to interact and discover Torn based upon the AI ads. Many of us probably did come here from an AI ad 🤣 AI is scary for reasons such as this - we have zero control over how effective and efficient it is. 

Obvs, it would be super cool to use these a newbie, or anyone that doesn't have them, really. It would absolutely impact the meta heavily: other balances would have to be made purely because of a change like this. 🤷
