I've been watching this over the last 2 weeks. My card skimming crime skill will reset back to zero after a day or two of doing another crime. Xp gains have not been permanent. Can anyone explain this to me?

None of this is making sense to me. I had a crime level 4, I've got like 500 card details hanging out. Focused on cracking for 2-3 days, came back to 0 card skimming. Still had 3 skimmers out when I lost the skill. The logs don't have much detail, is it basically any red failure is a loss in skill? How tf do you level up? 😂
