A lot of people will side with Trump solely for the fact that he has been able to create massive wealth for himself. They somehow think that because someone can do so well for themselves, that this person will do well for the rest of society. This isn't the case though from what I've gathered in watching his interviews. He doesn't seem to have any well-defined goals. Hillary is proposing a reduction in the amount of people currently incarcerated in the United States (The US leads the world by a wide margin in their incarceration rate). She talks about lowering tax rates for most Americans rather than lowering tax rates for the people who are already rich. I couldn't trust Donald Trump with the position of Commander in Chief. As he's said in interviews he would "bomb the hell out of Iraq's oilfields." Can we trust such a person with nuclear power? I don't believe so. I am convinced that if he were to run the country, he would do so to further his own agenda and largely increase his already massive wealth. Whereas Hillary would seek to better the lives of the MAJORITY rather than the minority who are already well off. This is my personal opinion of course and I can't say that I am either Democratic or Republican but I support based on the goals a candidate plans to achieve and their desire to help the country as a whole rather than just a select few.

Armor options besides combat gear

This. If you take a Xanax and mug 10 people for 500k each, you still made 4m after taking into account the cost of the Xanax. Mugs over 1m are pretty rare honestly and usually aren't consistent especially with the new system. You can't mug them multiple times for that amount and by the time you can mug again for it, they've already stashed it. I'd rather consistently mug 500k off the same rarely active people than waste potential profit on getting an empty wallet.

As annoying as halloween town was to navigate I definitely preferred that over some irc/forum giveaway/beg for shitfest. I barely have time to train / do crimes much less sit on some IRC channel to *maybe* win some free shit.

I HAD 10/10 Awareness and reset my merits to put towards stat upgrades. No regrets. I still find the same amount of worthless items. Not worth it in my opinion to have any merits toward this.

I really don't know why I'm bothering to respond to this as your stupidity is blatantly obvious by your assumptions that an entire country can share a "lust for war" over a feature in an online game. Is England the ones going to war based off of some fiction book or only when they are forced to? I can only assume that anyone with such illogical beliefs would progress poorly in the real world and thus in anything they do within it, especially reinforced by the fact you cannot even manage to properly use an online game. There is currently only one ongoing war involving England and that is a war against the terrorist groups in which over half of the entire world is currently participating in. So is more than half of the world wrong or is it one guy who cannot manage to play an online game?

I personally think the best option here would be to provide an alternative option for immediately storing large sums of money and that way everyone wins. Obviously with a large enough vault, mugging will be nearly eliminated making a lot of people pissed. I think the city bank limit should be increased with an option to withdraw at any time for a % of invested cash/withdrawal tax. I've seen other games with this feature and it seems to work well there. This way you are deterred from keeping all money in the bank at all times but you still have immediate access to it when you need it without waiting on some bullshit 30 minute flight. Storing cash shouldn't be a chore.
The options for storing large sums of money and having immediate access to it are very slim and that is problematic. All of your money would essentially be "taxed" when using the bank but it's a convenience fee when you don't have 30 minutes to wait after winning the slots jackpot of 7b. I'll gladly pay a small percentage of my money to the system rather than losing a large percentage to muggers.

This. The single most important investment in the game is stats. You can make money overnight but you can't build your stats overnight. Xanax is a little more than 500k, but I'm sure with beer selling, travelling, etc you can make enough to get at least a few Xanax (850k) a week. Stats don't directly increase your finances but eventually when they are high enough you can make a decent amount of cash through mugging and possibly guest chaining. Stats will benefit you throughout the entire time you play this game and unlike money, once they are gained they cannot be lost.

You know after a lot of thought I have come to the conclusion that possibly he mentioned another game and it was auto-edited to say "torn city" by the system. I know this is the case with a lot of other forums. Surely no one could really be this stupid.

I believe the magic number is 9%. Been kicked quite a few times now for neglecting to rehab when it starts getting up there.

Even though I've never referred anyone I think the best strategy would be to let them try it out on their own and follow the game's own Tutorial and answer questions as they arise. This way you aren't wasting your time when they decide it's not for them. Some people love text based games but the vast majority of people want to play a game for hours on end without having to wait for things, no one in this day and age likes to sit around and wait.

This has been my strategy too. The rehab costs aren't too terrible but it's more due to the amount of time it takes to get to and from Switzerland for me. I hate making that trip so I try not to do it often. I usually take at least two Xanax a day and then use job points to reduce the addiction and when it starts climbing up to where I think I'll get kicked from my education course, I head to Switzerland and rehab.

I miss Thug and BH :( The good old days

Almost 9 years. One of the best things about this game is it's stability and consistency. Obviously things change over time but you never have to worry about coming back to a reset game or finding that the page no longer exists. It's almost impossible to imagine that with this game but with MANY free browser based games this is commonplace. Either they reset everyone completely or they will just shut down entirely. That's what's kept me here so long. I don't have to worry about investing time or money into it and having it disappear if I ever decide to take a break from it.
