I always wanted more choices in places to go to in the world (in game). So how about adding more places that Torn citizens are allowed to go to, so here are my suggestions

So one of my faction members has an issue of using a gif that I gave that person, I even made it the specific ratio but apparently when she uses

it it just makes her crop it making the gif stop, is there a way to fix this? Thanks!

So I'm mainly making this forum because I want people to get better at wars and be more prepared for them. (Mostly this is for my faction)

Preparing for the war:

1. Buy lots of candy from Sally's Sweet Shop, then before you go to the gym, eat a lot of it so that you have about 15% more happiness then you normally have. This will let you earn more Gym Stats than normal which will increase your battle stats.

2. Leveling up: If your level is very low compared to your fellow faction members, I suggest you try to level up as fast as possible. Pretty much everything you do in Torn will give you leveling XP and to do so you need to attack people who are high level and weak. A good website for finding people like this is Baldr's List (maybe send him a little thank you while ur at it). Heres the link: https://oran.pw/baldrstargets/. So, with this I highly suggest to allot 50/75 of your energy to attacking people on the list and the rest into your gym stats. You'll be surprised how fast you'll be leveling up. For people who haven't reached Level 15 yet, your primary focus is to hit lvl 15 because then you'll be able to unlock the airport and be able to travel abroad, using that time to refill your energy and be able to escape your opponents. I'll talk more about this later. A little note I want to add, if you can afford it, you can go to China and ask the fortune teller how much more XP you need to reach the next level. She will give you a percentage that indicates how far in you are (note: Level holders will just appear as 100%).

3. Good Armory: Your faction should typically have a good armory full of good armor and weapons at least. It should also be full of medical stuff that anyone can use to heal themselves after battles or get out of the hospital. This should primarily be the leaders concern as he's the one who controls most of what the armory has. It should typically have several guns, melee weapons and several medical supplies for anyone in the faction to use, and it should also be enough so that it will last for weeks on end. Note that you'll have to buy/shoplift the bullets yourself.

4. Test out your opponents: Before the war starts, you will be able to see a list of people in the opposing faction. You should try to attack people who are 1 level above you and everyone who is lower level than you. If the opposing faction is all higher levels than you, than you're cooked (unless your a level holder, than you have to think of your true hidden level). You can also check out their personal stats and compare them to yours. Since battle stats are hidden, the stat you have to take in to the most account is the best hit they ever did and the highest level they've defeated.

During the war:

1. Start out with the opponents similar to your level or have similar best damage stats as you. This will ensure that you will not die in your attacks or at the very least, if it ain't going your way, escape is more possible. NEVER HOSPITALIZE YOUR OPPONENTS as that will decrease the amount of valuable war score that you can earn your faction. The more time your opponents have in the hospital, the more time they will have to heal and the less time of attacks you can do on them. Some factions are smart and put irresistible bounties on their very inactive players, making sure that if someon in your faction doesn’t attack them some stranger will and claim their bounty hospitalizing them for 3 HOURS. I learned this the hard way but never claim that bounty NO MATTER HOW GOOD IT IS. On the other hand this is a good strategy that your own faction can do. If you know you’re going to be offline for 5+ hours, ask some rich player in your faction to put a bounty on you so that your opponents can’t attack you for valuable war score. If you’re in the hospital when you’re online, you can just get out by using the medical items.

2. Attack as much as possible. To ensure that this is a viable possibility, I recommend that you take 1 Xanax pill every 2 days. Xanax gives you 150 extra energy so ONLY TAKE IT WHEN YOU’RE AT FULL ENERGY. This maximizes the number of times you can attack. Why I recommend 1 pill every 2 days is because Xanax gives you 35 addiction points and you naturally lose 20 addiction points everyday. If you try to stack up on Xanax, you’ll most likely risk overdosing and Xanax ain’t cheap, each one has a market value of $800k (though I heard if you go to South Africa then you can get the cheap Xanax if its in stock).

3. Maximize your war score. Never hospitalize people for the reasons I mentioned in No. 1. Always leave them on the streets. NEVER MUG THEM as that gives you less respect. Note that during the war you will 2x the normal amount of respect you would normally earn, and beating higher levels gives you more respect. How much XP and Respect you earn depends not on their battle stats but their level, so if they have similar or lower battle stats than you but have a higher level, you will earn WAY more war score. Also note that people with similar levels will have a “fair fight” lit up when you check your faction chains. Battles with fair fights usually earn you more war score than say a lvl 25 defeating a lvl 15. So I recommend if one of your players are active and have a similar level to a weaker player, let them deal with attacking them. Usually higher war score will come out with higher rewards and higher payout. The higher your score, the more bonus respect you will earn when the war ends (with even more bonus respect if your faction wins the war).

4. Escaping/Travelling/Self-hospitalizing are the perfect ways to make sure your enemy does not earn war score. Do note though that this will also prevent you from attacking your enemies except in certain situations. Self-hospitalizing yourself with Ipecac Syrup will let you stay in the hospital for 1 hour. Also note that if your hospitalized in a one hit attack from a REALLY HIGH LEVEL PLAYER you might be offered an early discharge, which you should or shouldn’t accept in certain situations.         Situation 1: There are stronger players that’s online and you can’t even think of beating, in this case, self-hospitalizing or get someone not in the enemy faction to hospitalize you is the best way to prevent them from earning war score. When they become offline, you can use your meds to get out of the hospital and start going on a rampage.
   
   

Now lets talk about traveling. Please keep in mind that you can only travel once you reach level 15 and that its a little expensive for people who don’t have much in their wallet. All trips are round trips and the minimum ticket price is $6.5k on a round trip to Mexico. The longest trip is I believe around 5 hours (correct me if I’m wrong). The most I’ve every paid was 11k to China. The farther the place, the more time it takes and the more money you need to pay.

1. To make travel easier, you can buy/forge/find/win a business class ticket. This will make your flight way shorter and also free (but 1 time only). You can buy it in the item market, forge one with the forgery crime, have a really rare chance to find it in the city or win it in Leslie’s wheels at the casino.

2. Another thing you can do to make travel free permanently is to rent/buy/win a private island and buy the airstrip upgrade along with the pilot staff upgrade. This will make all your flights free and WAY faster, though you’ll still need to pay staff fees to make sure this works.

3. When to travel:
   There are 2 situations where you will travel:
   1. To escape a stronger online opponent while refilling your energy and life
   2. To follow an opponent you can beat up. You can’t use any medical items when you’re abroad so if you keep attacking them while they’re abroad, essentially its free War Score. Just remember this situation is applicable towards you to so when you arrive at your destination you must check if any of your opponents are travelling to the country you are in or are already there. If they’re already there, its best to just buy stuff that you wanted there and get back to Torn ASAP. 

4. Your best strategy for attacking people: Go attack people and gain some war score, fly to mexico (its cheap and short) do whatever you want there within 4 minutes and head back to torn to reattack those people.

So I hope this helped a lot and for your future wars you could try out this guide. This is just a rough draft of what was going on in my head and I though about sharing it so that the community could tell me what I could fix. Eventually (after I’ve fully refined it) I’ll make a 2.0 version and who knows, maybe even a 3.0, only time will tell. Well this was a good use of an hour, I hope this helped a lot!

I was checking old properties of me and my spouses to see what upkeep needed to be paid. Since the guy who the property was being rented to got fedded I wondered if upkeep was still necessary, So I checked it out and well this....can someone explain?!?!?!?

My very first elimination, super weak less than 10k battle stats, I expected we'd lose soon, but then suddenly we won...thank you to all the people in "da huve". Thank you all! Sorry I couldn't contribute, I only did 21 attacks :(. Maybe next year I after I grow stronger I can do better!
