72 days in as of writing this and haven't missed a day yet :)
I stumbled here after bouncing between games -- I was into Idleon on steam for a while but the late game pay-to-progress thing turned me off. Then I tried Forge of Empires, but I ended up in this guild that was helpful in-game but super far right wing in chat, and that just soured on me and their rhetoric made me feel bad about myself.
One day though I saw a Reddit post about Torn on my front page and what caught my eye wasn't even the game itself at first -- it was just... the whole community seemingly was bountying and targeting someone for using slurs. It just made the playerbase from an outside perspective looking in, feel way more normal and chill compared to what I'd just experienced, and that pushed me to give it a serious try.
I've played stuff like WoW, Stellaris, and Civ -- so the mix of marathon-style progression and resource management here really clicked for me.
Still figuring things out, but so far, I'm glad I found Torn.
That said, I made a pretty big mistake upon joining because I was slutting alot of losses for 50k -- but none of that anymore
