I'm hosting a raffle with a little something special. Nothing as strange as my last raffle,
but it may look strange to capitalistic people. The special thing is that everything sent to the raffle will go to

Since raffles and casinos are still allowed inside Torn, scamming would still happen | And even if it's done inside Torn, players or admins have no way of knowing whether it's legitimate or not, since you can use third-party tools to conduct the draw.
Like you said, you can already gamble inside Torn’s Casino, and there have been cases of them reacting to someone gambling too much. But since they still allow players to create their own casinos or raffles inside Torn, in the end, it’s essentially the same thing. It just wouldn’t look as polished as the games you can find on a website or Discord.
There are millions of ways to do RMT. casino is just one of them.
If they wanted to ban gambling run by user they should have done it directly and not only banning gambling outside of torn it's just stupid so that why i'm complaining
What would they monitor, and how, if the draw was done outside of Torn, which is allowed? And, like I said above:
Player X sees a forum post about a raffle.
Player X sends the entry fee to the host.
After some time, the host draws the winner using a third-party website.
The host sends the prize to Player X.
In the end, Torn wouldn’t know what actually happened. They would only see that a player sent money for a raffle or casino and, in some cases, that the player received something back.
The casino could be on or outside of Torn. In the end, they don’t really have control over what happens.
For example:
Player X sees a forum post about a raffle.
Player X sends the entry fee to the host.
After some time, the host draws the winner using a third-party website.
The host sends the prize to Player X.
In the end, Torn wouldn’t know what actually happened. They would only see that a player sent money and, in some cases, that the player received something back.
On most casino sites, you can see the odds, so in the end, it’s pretty much the same. The player can see and know the odds, and just like with raffles, since they’re run by players, the organizers can lie about the actual odds of winning.
But raffles are allowed, while casinos aren't, even though they're basically the same thing. And, like I said above, you can still create a casino as long as you do some of the part in Torn
To me, scamming someone in Torn or exploiting someone’s addiction is essentially the same thing: you’re exploiting someone.
I also agree that you can buy Donator Packs with real money, but my main question is: why would they ban player-run casinos outside of Torn while allowing them if they’re hosted inside Torn, even if the host still needs to use a third-party website to, let’s say, draw the winner?
If gambling had never been allowed outside of the official system from the start, I wouldn’t have made this post.
I guess that’s fair to say, but in my opinion, I really want to give stuff away. I just don’t have the cash to do it, and I don’t want to play for years until I have enough money to do so.
There aren’t many ways to make a lot of cash without either spending years grinding, being extremely lucky, or spending real money.
And if I wanted clout, I would never have made such an unpopular post in the first place.
Firstly, thanks for actually answering me and not just making a shitpost without reading my messages.
I didn’t even know you could see the odds for caches, but in the end, raffles are still allowed and they’re not an official feature and there’s no rule against them. That’s why I still think it’s stupid to say no to some things while saying yes to other very similar things.
If they had also created rules for player-run raffles on the forums, or even banned them, I wouldn’t have made this post. But that’s not the case, so in the end, the same problem would still exist. So why ban some and allow other ?
You can still manipulate the outcome. What’s stopping you from rolling until you get the number you want?
And regarding the karma part, if someone goes to a third-party casino and loses, they’ll probably mention it on the forums and dislike the post anyway. So, in the end, to me, it’s pretty much the same thing.
Doing that is a lot more work than just creating a raffle and having a bot do everything for you.
and doing multiple raffles is also way easier on Discord than here.
(Regarding your modification: In Torn, you can also bet on real things. Maybe I’m just being dumb, but I don’t really get the difference. In the end, you don’t make real money, so I’m pretty sure legislation wouldn’t apply since you’re using fake money to win fake money. If you could convert that fake money into real money, then yeah, sure, but this isn’t Counter-Strike)
