What I'm about to write is banal, very banal, but I'm writing it because it's the first thing I've found counterintuitive since I've been playing—a very, very short time.

Jokes aside, I had serious difficulty using the search to find my compatriots (other Italians like me? I'll even accept 4% of your wealth) and I was wondering: it's okay that we're all from Torn and it's wonderful to be able to play with people from all over the world, it's okay that nationalism in the game should be avoided because it makes us less open-minded, but it would be nice to search for compatriots also to facilitate the exchange of information and better branch out the community.

Could a search by country be an idea or am I talking a load of nonsense? Thanks for reading and happy Monday to all of you, brothers and sisters.

With 16 downvotes in a few hours, I can say this is definitely a worse place than Reddit.
I only asked one question, for a stupid feature, and I got a coherent (but sadly outdated) answer, a completely incorrect answer, and a ton of little attacks that make this place truly amazing.

I love you all, I knew Torn would become a hateful playground for me, and that enriches me (just like that 1% you could give me).

Can I ask you why you think this is shit?

I was wondering why there wasn't such a feature and thought about asking in a larger section, but maybe I should have considered first that even here on Torn there's a gerontocracy elite.

A crude way of saying "you're nobody and you can't open your mouth": you don't know how much I read before starting this thread, you know nothing about me, you only know the time I've spent here, and that, in your opinion, makes me inferior. I hope you don't do this to every kid you meet at work IRL. I don't know how old you are, but I hope you never treat people with an idea, however stupid, like that outside of this game.

Hello everyone, as a relatively young player with little knowledge of many aspects of the game, I had a great time reading these seven pages. One of the things I thought after reaching level 15 was: okay, it's time, I'm ready to travel, but how much do I earn?

I took a look at the PDA, looked at the profits, did some calculations, and realized I had to force myself to dedicate some specific time in my life, making it compatible with my work—anything—to make money (perhaps) with enormous effort and an immense expenditure of commitment. The first thing I asked myself was: compared to selling losses, is it really worth it?

I stopped selling defeats because, fortunately, I met a player who helped me (may he always be praised), and my faction supported me in everything, but this made my gameplay less engaging. Currently, I feel stuck, with little desire to max out my travel abilities (perks, suitcases, etc.), and the travel mechanics aren't exactly simple when you consider the risks and product restock, or the length and cost of travel.

This is to say that I need a lot of money right now, and if any of you could give me 1% of your assets, I'd be really happy. I deserve it after this very long text, right? :P I'm joking of course (dignity comes first), but I can assure you that it's not easy to figure out how to monetize without thinking about paying the subscription, especially in a time when wars are less frequent. I don't know where Torn will take me, but I'm sure that for now I really appreciate the community and all the mechanics, but I certainly can't understand the learning curve and how it's conceivable that without alternatives to travel, they can incentivize new users. Just add that I ran a lot to get to level 15 and then realized that I probably would have done better to train more and better. Actually, I don't even have the money to seriously do Happy Jump or Choco Jump without getting to 0 or risking everything.
