ReviveRelay v0.7.3 - PUBLIC BETA
ReviveRelay v0.7.3 is now available for Public Beta testing.
ReviveRelay is a revive coordination userscript designed to connect players who need a revive with verified Torn revivers through direct certified requests.
What's new in v0.7.3
The main focus of this release is TornPDA compatibility and interface recovery.
A TornPDA tester reported that, even after the previous fix, ReviveRelay could still be installed without showing the dedicated RR button.
That report was correct.
Further investigation showed that the recovery button was still relying too heavily on ReviveRelay successfully identifying TornPDA during its initial startup sequence.
In some TornPDA situations, that detection can happen too early while TornPDA's own helpers and WebView bridge are still loading.
There was also another issue: the RR button could remain hidden unless ReviveRelay already considered itself minimized.
Not particularly useful for a recovery button.
TornPDA launcher changes
ReviveRelay 0.7.3 substantially strengthens the TornPDA recovery system.
The RR launcher now:
- mounts before the full ReviveRelay interface finishes initializing
- no longer relies solely on the original startup TornPDA detection
- recognizes TornPDA's platform-ready state when it becomes available later
- remains available independently of ReviveRelay's saved minimized state
- can retry ReviveRelay initialization if the normal panel failed to load
- uses stronger positioning/visibility rules to prevent Torn page styling from hiding it
- automatically checks whether the RR launcher still exists
- recreates it if Torn/TornPDA WebView navigation removes it
ReviveRelay performs that recovery check every 2 seconds while running in the relevant mobile/TornPDA environment.
The goal is simple:
If ReviveRelay is running inside TornPDA, there should always be a visible way to get back into it.
Updating ReviveRelay
ReviveRelay 0.7.3 retains the update improvements introduced in 0.7.2.
Open:
Settings → Updates
and use:
Check & install update
ReviveRelay will:
- Check the official ReviveRelay Review release feed.
- Validate whether a newer approved version exists.
- Open the official Voidsmith ReviveRelay installer.
- Hand installation to Tampermonkey, your compatible userscript manager, or TornPDA.
ReviveRelay does not download arbitrary JavaScript and execute it itself.
It does not silently overwrite itself.
It does not use remote eval.
Your userscript manager or TornPDA remains responsible for installing updates.
Background update checks remain notification-only.
What ReviveRelay does
Requesting a revive
ReviveRelay allows players to:
- create a certified revive request
- choose a Cash or Xanax offer
- save their preferred offer
- include a short message
- monitor their request status
- cancel an eligible request
- retain appropriate settings between sessions
Revivers
ReviveRelay provides revivers with:
- revive capability verification
- a live certified-request queue
- Cash / Xanax filtering
- minimum-offer filters
- newest / oldest sorting
- offer-value sorting
- optional grouping
- manual queue refresh
- protection against accepting your own request
- protection against two revivers successfully claiming the same request
- direct navigation to the requester's Torn profile after accepting
The actual revive itself is still performed manually inside Torn.
ReviveRelay does NOT automate Torn actions
Accepting a request does not automatically revive somebody.
ReviveRelay takes the reviver to the correct Torn profile.
The player performs the revive themselves.
ReviveRelay does not:
- automatically revive players
- automatically send Cash
- automatically send Xanax/items
- bypass CAPTCHA
- automatically perform Torn gameplay actions
TornPDA
ReviveRelay can be installed in TornPDA using:
https://voidsmithindustries.com/torn/install/reviverelay.user.js
If you previously installed 0.7.1 or 0.7.2 and had no visible RR button, please update to 0.7.3 and test again.
TornPDA testers
The most important test is now extremely simple:
Do you see the red RR button?
You should not need to minimize ReviveRelay first.
Please test:
- Install/update ReviveRelay.
- Open Torn normally inside TornPDA.
- Confirm the red RR button is visible.
- Tap RR.
- Confirm the ReviveRelay interface opens/restores.
- Navigate around Torn.
- Confirm RR remains visible or automatically returns.
- Background TornPDA and reopen it.
- Confirm ReviveRelay and RR recover correctly.
- Try the normal requester/reviver functions.
If possible, include:
- Android or iOS
- TornPDA version
- ReviveRelay version
- fresh install or update
- whether RR appeared immediately
- whether RR returned after navigation
- whether RR returned after backgrounding TornPDA
- whether tapping RR opened ReviveRelay
- screenshots if anything looks wrong
Real TornPDA testing is particularly valuable here because browser simulations cannot perfectly reproduce TornPDA's WebView lifecycle.
Desktop users
Desktop installation remains:
https://voidsmithindustries.com/torn/install/reviverelay.user.js
Tampermonkey and compatible userscript managers can use the same installer.
Public Beta status
Current release:
ReviveRelay v0.7.3 PUBLIC BETA
0.7.3 has passed:
- 316 / 316 client tests
- 338 / 338 server/database tests
- 5 / 5 release/provenance tests
- immutable artifact verification
- JavaScript syntax verification
- static release/security audit with 0 findings
- GitHub
main CI after merge
- Voidsmith Torn catalogue validation
- 69 / 69 website tests
The server/database suite was run against a disposable PostgreSQL 16 test environment rather than the production database.
The important remaining acceptance area is genuine Android/iOS TornPDA behaviour.
Because this is still Beta, please report anything strange rather than assuming it's another script.
That's rather the point of the Beta.
