Can someone explain how card skimming works? · · 1 like

Hello! I've already read the guide on card skimming. It's 3 days I try card skimming and my CS is still at 0%. 

I have a succes rate of only 29%. I planted I think 6 or 7 card skimmer in the safest location (indicated by the guide). I was able to plant successfully only half of them, left them collecting for 6 hours or so, because I wanted to test quickly how the crime exactly worked. But evetytime I tried retrieving them they failed and made me go to jail and made the little exp I got drop to 0% again. 

 

Am I extremely unlucky? Am I doing something wrong? Do you have any advice I can use?
