Thats a great point! I was imagining that mabye the cards had a specific tab in your inventory. I like that thought, maybe I am just not important enough or something but none of my mail is too special 😂
I figured a physical item in game would even add collectors value, am not sure. Just a message may not have the same effect (In the sense of exclusivity or personality) and will get buried overtime. This may also be a nice reminder of who you have connections with and who you've networked with in the past. Turns "Just message me anytime", to "Heres my business card with all my details :)" which may be insignificant as you could just do all of that in a DM (as you suggest) but feels so much cooler and exclusive imo. Maybe you have a point and its a feature that isn't needed. But I think it adds an extra layer of personality to the game.
