Heh, I am Kelsian, in another game, I've did a similar journal from my humble beginning to national champion and it catched some interest, among that helped me make new friends and bring some life to the forum.

The difference this time: I know jacks*it about this game, so feel free to laugh at my newbie mistakes, it's all a new game for me and look pretty vast so I'll add some of my personal narration to this, maybe it will even be entertaining, who knows?

 Day 0: Absolute beginner

Woah, just arrived by bus to Torn City, grab a cig with nowhere to go, this odd fella, George, was sitting close to the shack I've called an house. Odd fella, but it's not like I know anyone classy around here. Helped me with a few tasks, hooked me up with a computer. My day is mostly about empty trash cans and listening to George derogatory remarks about his ex "co-workers". I saw a course in the community college, "introduction to business" it is called. I've enlisted, the price was ridiculous and it seems and can help with my less than "satisfactory intelligence" as stated my new boss.

Yea, picked a gig at the grocery store, doesn't pay well but I got to start somewhere, most of the people laughed at me (wait you need endurance to work in law!?!). We'll see how it goes, probably move of that shack soon enough, George's tasks are paying quite well. I'll keep updated about how it goes soon.

As stated, prices clearly stated, easy trades, no hassle. Good luck miss!

Gym Boosts ·

As some people above said, you should probably spent money to rent a PI, hopefully one with an airstrip, and pay it by traveling/selling the things you get in other countries. More happy = more results by any way possible. So doubling a 700 happy will give you worse results than just having a 3000 happy PI and doing nothing.

Another thing not mentioned is, you should try to unlock the better gyms, and buy the memberships as soon as avaliable as they give a lot better results than the first ones.

Turkeybops great prices safe trades :) · · 1 like

Goodfriend is pretty chill and almost always online.

Glad to be back! Thanks for all the kind messages. ·

So...we can call you an enemy to get (possibly) a bigger prize...what is the catch :p?

Nah seriously, all good things comes to an end at some point, and when a game stop being a game, and become more of a chore. It's time to let it go, and just keep the memories, before things turn sour. I get the feeling, I really do, so enjoy your retirement out of the Torn and take care of yourself stranger!

Just a small note that you can find a lot of the arson components from the junkyard with that crime. I guess more and more people are catching up to this as the prices of those items are going down. A new player could possibly still make a bank from this however, do not know for how long though.

Hah, fair game, I deserved it I guess, with the heat from this thread it seems that I am not ready for this game. :p

Joke aside, I wanted to have a little fun and interact with people while at it, but then everyone got pretty prissy about it. It's not fun this way so I'll just shut up and keep to myself. I mean I won't waste time doing this if no one want to read it! And I guess "Fsh" got a point about the target behind my back.

That said, pretty good advice between the cheater accusations and all, thanks for the support, I guess. Bad feedback is still feedback you know and all.

Err...it is a common thing in this game? I would assume with the theme of it. Cheeky, but good luck finding it in my case lol.

I have no such lofty ambitions of being the "champion" of anything, but there was a possibility that someone could recognize me from it though.

Day 3: Finding goals:

A couple of days passed by, few things changed. I realized that the demand for items is immense, finding and selling all kind of stuff from the dump, subway or even trash is by far my biggest source of cash. Drugs are plenty, but I can't already tie my own shoes so I'll better sell to someone who can, that's scrap for them, but their pocket change made me buy a cheap car, and move out of the shack to go to a little semi-detached. Not much, but it's mine and I am proud of it.

Job still sucks, but I could grab some cash from the drawer....shouldn't say it but we are between friends right? The "Premier" gym was a waste, most of the machines weren't working so I had to find another, Woody's gig is a bit shady, but at least I can a decent workout, especially in speed.

Had an cold offer from a "gang", the benefits looked cool but I saw people with rocket launchers and grenades, I trust my Ruger but I am clearly not ready for "wars" and stuff. Laying low is probably to my benefits, not that I have anything worthwhile anyways. I am keeping to small misdemeanors, with the occasional pickpocket to distracted folks, until I bought the courage (and skill) to do anything better.

In hindsight, the business course was a bit dumb, it's not in my plans to get a business any time soon, I am probably should have focused on something more useful right now to my survival and "talents", like computers, or defense or something. I'll keep updating if I got something interesting happening, stay safe peeps!
