Hey everyone! I’m squilly and I’m here to let y’all know about a photography challenge running over on the Torn Artist Community discord! it’s pretty easy, just take a photo of something in the real world that reminds you of Torn. It doesn't have to be literal. It could be gritty, industrial, a little sketchy, strange, funny, chaotic, atmospheric, or anything else that gives you that "yep, that's Torn energy" feeling. Interpret it however you want.
oh but SQUILLY! how does one enter such a sick contest?
simple my people. Let squilly guide you
Step 1: Join the official Torn Artist Community Discord
Step 2: take up to 3 photos and upload them to the challenge channel
each photo must have a short caption explanation on why and how it reminds you of TORN. Phone pictures are allowed! This is a challenge for everyone not just photographers!
And that’s it! Now you may be wondering,
What do I gain from doing this?
hush I’ll tell you
PRIZES: Overall Winner: $100,000,000 Runner-Ups (2): $25,000,000 each Community Favorite (most reactions): $50,000,000
judging will be based on: * creativity * composition * how strongly the photo fits the Torn vibe
the Community Favorite is decided entirely by reactions.
CHALLENGE ENDS DECEMBER 31ST SO GET TO THINKING AND CLICKING
squilly out. 🧸
Final Notes “This challenge is meant to be fun and easy to join, even if you don't normally take photos. If you see something out in the world and think "that looks like it belongs in Torn," snap it and send it in. I'm excited to see what is made” - Droq
