Here is the argument for why Torn has become a bargain-bin wasteland and why the paywall is the only thing standing between us and total societal collapse.

1. The "Paracetamol Crisis"

Currently, the market is so flooded with items that even a fresh-off-the-bus level 1 player can afford a private island rental by day three if they play their cards right. Where is the prestige? If everyone can afford a Xanax, then Xanax is basically just a Tic-Tac.

• The Problem: High-tier items are priced for the masses, not the masters.
• The Satirical Fix: We should inflate the price of basic medical supplies until a single bandage costs a small mortgage. It builds "character" (and hospital stays).

2. Meritocracy is Overrated

People keep talking about "grinding" and "strategy." How quaint. In a true gritty crime simulator, shouldn't the most powerful people be the ones with the largest real-world bank accounts? Just like the real world!

• The Argument: Keeping elite items (like specialized caches or high-tier collectibles) behind a hard paywall ensures that the "right" kind of people—those with high-limit credit cards—stay at the top of the food chain.
• The Benefit: It saves us from the exhausting effort of actually learning how the stock market works.

3. Scarcity Creates "Vibe"

When items are cheap, they lose their soul. If a Golden AK-47 is available to anyone who saves up for a week, it’s not a legendary weapon; it’s a shiny paperweight.

• The Paywall Solution: By locking the best gear behind a "Platinum Executive Tier" subscription, you create a sense of exclusivity.
• The Goal: You don't want to win a fight because you had better stats; you want to win because your opponent's "Basic" subscription doesn't allow them to dodge bullets on Tuesdays.

4. Economic Purity

Let’s be honest: the bazaar is starting to look like a yard sale. If we don’t implement a paywall for high-value trading, we risk the "unwashed masses" actually participating in the economy.

Do different forums have different rules for HTML formatting?

I am trying to create a certain look in a post and it works great in the faction forum; but when I try to put it in the trading post, it breaks. A couple of things look the same, but it’s all messed up.

Does anybody know why this might be happening?

I’m having a problem where all trades are showing between myself and myself. I can’t track who I’ve been trading with through tornW3b. My first trade shows correctly, but everything after that is just Phanphanwhat<->PhanPhanwhat. How can I fix this?
